1.
Gets heavier every time I look at it ...
It's actually not that heavy, it's alder for the main body and I had it made for that reason to be still extremely playable. If you actually look at it it's only the rosewood centre section wider than any Status of this shape including the old ones, in fact it's not much heavier than some of the old Series IIs!
2. Pms replied to but still up for sale.
3. This might be on the market again if anyone's interesred, everything on the original post applies, pxs+ cash
4.
Just a question: are the necks interchangable? The fretless one on top would be nice...
Yes the necks are interchangeable, I swopped them over once but went back to this as the fretted necks a fraction to low if you want to slap, for me anyway, I'll post a few pics when it's all done and dusted too.
5. Yeah MB1 is right, the bass is being refinished but not by Status as they no longer do refinishes. It is now being kept as well as I must have been having a strange turn when I even considered selling it!
6. Ahh no love for the Beast, oh well I will just have to keep it then!
7. Yeah thanks, it does make quite an impression!
8. Hi I'm selling my S2 Classic Double, the bass has an Alder body with flame maple top, it is a 4/4 fretted fretless, 34in scale, and 19mm spacing on both necks, it has the Standard status board with a variable mid, and switching for either neck on /off or both necks on. The bass is relatively light for what it is and because of its compact body can be played sitting normally without having to play it side on. It has an immense sound and the fretless is amazing, plays as all Statii do, superbly. I have played this bass extensively and it does have a few signs of playing wear and a little dink on the top as pictured,it's finished in satin and although it looks great this is not the hardest wearing of finishes,I would give it a 9/10. It has a Status flight case in A1 condition, and all documentation and tools i have had the bass from new. I'm looking for £2000 or px for Status S2000/S11 Vigier passion Jaydee S1/3/GA any condition plus cash adjustment depending on value of part Ex. I'm down near Brighton. Any questions just please ask or message me. Cheers Dave
9. I have here my set up for sale, i'm willing split it up no problem. The EBS gear is 2 years old and has never actually been used for more than 2 hours, it is as brand spanking new. I purchased it with the view to doing some live work but due to work and commitments abroad the band never materialised and it's been sitting around doing nothing. The Trace head is absolutely mint as well and has very minimal use. I'm looking for £450 for the HD350 flight case included £400 for each of the EBS 2x10 £250 for the Trace head These prices would be + postage, but i would be very reluctant to post these so i'm willing to travel a certain distance for a meet i'm near Brighton. Would also consider certain trades and a deal could be done on, Status SII, Empathy, S2000, Jaydee series 1 or 3 not to bothered about condition as long as they play well, i'm open to offers on other things and will consider all offers. Cheers Dave, can't seem to upload my photos for some reason, any ideas says they are to big, never had a problem before?
10. Yeah it's 32 up to the bendwell, real easy to play quick on this and very very light and i'm down near Brighton.
11. Hi, seeing if there's any interest in my Status Streamline all graphite in natural weave. It's 32 in scale/bendwell, 16.5mm string spacing, satin finish neck and blue wraparound leds, i bought it last summer so it's nicely played in and in A1 condition, looking for a straight sale at £1450 (which is a considerable saving on new) or interested in old Status series 2 or Series 2000 or Empathy or Gibson SG guitar models condition not important + a few quid my way. cheers Dave
12. This bass really is the business, i had it built, then Lee bought it from me, anyone after an Alembic will not go wrong, it's oozes quality, plays like a dream and has cocobolo that is second to none!
13. I'm selling my Status Graphite Kingbass MK2, I'm the original owner from new and the spec of the bass is as follows. Headless, 32in scale/bendwell, 16.5mm string spacing, quilted maple top with cherry red stain finish and black pinstripe, satin neck, black hardware, red wraparound leds. Plays like a dream, comes with the usual Status branded hiscox case, bought last summer new. I'm selling as i travel extensively and have purchased a Status streamline for just that purpose. the bass is in 9.9/10 condition and has been played a lot my me but always kept in tip top shape. £1800 is the price i'm after which is a fabulous saving on new, i will consider trade and cash my way for any old Status series 2, 2000, Empathy or Gibson Les Pauls Standards, classics Slash models etc but not any silly money Jimmy Page models etc condition not important. Thanks and any questions please ask. cheers Dave
14.
That Alembic looks a lot like the one I just bought a couple of weeks ago...did you sell it to a Belgian bassplayer ? I'm pretty sure it's the same :-) Great collection, by the way ! This is mine and I think was yours...
Yeah Alans right i bought this bass off him in the summer '08 and sold it on to the Belgian guy in the November. It is an amazing bass, that figuring on the Walnut looks incredable in the flesh. I played it non stop and only sold it when i realised the 34 scale was way to much of a stretch for me and as Alan says i replaced it with a MK Deluxe in a 32 scale. I would never have sold it if it had been a 32.Enjoy it!
15. I'm offering this up for sale again as it has just sat in it's case for the last 5 mths, i'm looking for £1250 plus the p&p or collection( meet up ) , it has not changed since i first posted, a great bass that needs a good home! Any questions please ask cheers Dave
