  1. Anyone on here got one of the amps yet? I'm still finding myself drawn to the 500W head....

    Large Bass Cabs

Power rating has nothing to do with LF output capability. Or very little at best. There’s a lot more to a driver than it’s thermal power handling.
  3. I like the look of that amp too…
  4. I’ve never had to push my RM800 that hard… probably loudest I’ve got was about 11 o’clock volume, gain around 2 o’clock.
  5. Amp: https://www.musik-produktiv.com/gb/ashdown-rootmaster-rm-800-evo-ii.html Cab: https://m.thomann.de/gb/eden_tn210v5.htm?o=19&search=1630524635 Prices include VAT and all the customs malarkey. And you have the possibility to add another cab of the ~450/500W isn’t enough
  6. A mere detail, which I forgotted🤪
  7. RM800 and two One10s 😎
  8. What about an RM combo? Not the tiniest footprint but will be small, light, loud and sub-£500…: https://www.musik-produktiv.com/gb/ashdown-rootmaster-rm-c210t-500-evoii.html
  9. I reckon that is sound logic. I’m seriously considering their Pure Amp 800, to be run from the preamp on my pedalboard into my BF10s (a third of which would be possible with that amp). They could be the next Basschat fad hahaha 😝
  10. I agree with @Quilly - in fact he has my old one! These really are great, loud, plug-and-play amps and £200 is silly. Hopefully someone will come along soon
  11. I have recently joined a new loud rock covers band and have found that my RM80@ and pair of One10s is more than adequate in rehearsals. I can’t imagine gigs getting much louder tbh as I know the other musicians and the way they work
  12. The GR stuff is really intriguing me and this does nothing to stop that. Great new toy!
  13. Yep, I almost wrote that but didn’t. I would expect the S12 to be more “barky”, especially at volume
  14. Marginally. The S12 has standard Eminence drivers; the Super Twin has bespoke Eminence drivers based on the same original driver but with tweaks to Barefaced’s requirements.
  15. Yep definitely a Super 12

    Barefaced Machinist

I’m away at the moment but I’ll get some pics when I’m home. I’ve actually found that keeping three basic settings across the three switches works and then it’s the combination of what is on which gives my tonal variation. There’s plenty more on tap but I’m not much of a tweaked either!
  17. I might have one - can check next week when I get home
  18. I’m in 4 bands and none of then have managed a single bloody thing yet. Off to King’s Lynn in a fortnight for a little outing though, then it’s back to rehearsing and no gigs for the foreseeable 😔
  19. Now you just need a big wing logo for the Evo 1 cab
  20. Second cab, whilst avoiding the bass boost as it gobbles up power... mids are your friend for being heard.
  21. Yep, my experience exactly with this amp. Lovely thing (which I may have already said 😅)
  22. Gutted to read this, he has been a stalwart on here and been a pleasure to talk to in the past RIP Martin
  23. Hurrah! Nice one - enjoy
  24. Lies! That only has four strings! 😁
