Absolutely agree about The Art Of Losing, superb bit of work.
Also enjoying Weight Of The World by Florence Black and Tell Your Girls It’s Alright by The Dead Deads 🙂
edit - ooh and the Wildhearts album!
So apart from a supposedly clever cable (presume a series/parallel type option) what is different from normal speaker cabs and matching up a few to make a rig…?
Debating whether two (differently flavoured) octavers is overkill.
Got the MXR recently as wasn’t always 100% happy with the Okto side of the Emma Electronics pedal, but now it’s been on the board for a few weeks I’m missing the Nøjs side of the Emma…
Hmm.
It’s fine.
The valve is in the preamp; it’s valve power stages (or, actually, any power stage with an output transformer) which needs a load. This uses MOSFETs so will be fine seeing an infinite impedance.
Mark changed to Markbass about 2 years ago, after a gig in Quebec where his TC head failed (not for the first time by all accounts) and he got whizzed off. He literally emailed Markbass as he flew back to the UK and they had the endorsement sorted within weeks.
I know this coz the drummist in my band is the L42 drum tech 🤓
Yep. Mrs Mert has the horses; I just happened to be the wallet to pay for that. And then pay to get it through an MOT. And soon will pay to get the bodywork touched up in various places. Definitely not the best purchase of the year 😅
How is it with active basses? I notice the Andertons website mentions “not suitable for use with active guitar pickups” so wondered if this was an impedance thing?
P.S. I’ve been a very happy G30 user for at least 8 years now. Got a little pouch which stops the dodgy battery compartment flying open and keeps the whole unit secure on my strap. But seeing the XU2 has made me ponder a change, as it could offer me a simple chance to slim down my pedalboard 😅
