    Couldn’t agree more. Incredible thing. The flat tone is perfect; warm but clean crisp and clear. There’s no electronic noise, no fan noise, nothing. It just quietly sits there, delivering exactly what you want. Unassuming, confident quality.

    This has just arrived from Bass Direct: My god it’s lovely. Only had a brief play as need to get my son from school but the flat tone is just spot on. All the controls are solid, the amp operates supremely quietly and I can see the EQ has huge versatility. Cannot wait to get it out in the wild and really get to know it properly.

    More for comedy value…. Played a little gig in Kings Lynn yesterday, we took our normal little back line and the stage… dwarfed it somewhat 😆 ETA - yes that’s a Barefaced One10 and Ashdown RM800, honest guv.

    Power rating has nothing to do with LF output capability. Or very little at best. There’s a lot more to a driver than it’s thermal power handling.

    I’ve never had to push my RM800 that hard… probably loudest I’ve got was about 11 o’clock volume, gain around 2 o’clock.

    I reckon that is sound logic. I’m seriously considering their Pure Amp 800, to be run from the preamp on my pedalboard into my BF10s (a third of which would be possible with that amp). They could be the next Basschat fad hahaha 😝

    I agree with @Quilly - in fact he has my old one! These really are great, loud, plug-and-play amps and £200 is silly. Hopefully someone will come along soon

    I have recently joined a new loud rock covers band and have found that my RM80@ and pair of One10s is more than adequate in rehearsals. I can’t imagine gigs getting much louder tbh as I know the other musicians and the way they work

    Yep, I almost wrote that but didn’t. I would expect the S12 to be more “barky”, especially at volume

    Marginally. The S12 has standard Eminence drivers; the Super Twin has bespoke Eminence drivers based on the same original driver but with tweaks to Barefaced’s requirements.

    I’m away at the moment but I’ll get some pics when I’m home. I’ve actually found that keeping three basic settings across the three switches works and then it’s the combination of what is on which gives my tonal variation. There’s plenty more on tap but I’m not much of a tweaked either!
