Just had an email from Ashdown, they say "fingers crossed" they'll be in stores mid November.....

My ultimate amp head would be the Trace V-Type preamp mated to a 600W MOSFET power amp. Basically, I want a Trace V-Type 600H amp head please. About as rare as the 4x8 cab I have.

Take your head to the Bass Gallery (or another shop) in London and try lots of cabs out I did this when buying my first rig many moons ago, but at Electromusic in Doncaster. Spent 3 hours there, played everything in the shop whether in my budget or not. Even took a bass playing friend to get a second opinion. Was great fun and you come away knowing you've made the right choice!

Slightly OT, weirdest request we have has was MJ's "Earth Song". At a Christmas party. Back on topic: I have to learn Sade's "By Your Side" and "Romeo and Juliet" by Dire Straits for a couple of December weddings. Not standard first dance fare but better than some of the stuff we've been asked to do

We do occasional (ie. once every two months ish) public gigs in a bar in East Grinstead, bring potential punters to that and job done.

Good gig last night, we have a completely new lighting rig, trusses and start cloth and it was their debut last night. Looked awesome and of course made us sound better The gig itself was cool, one of my pupils played "You Really Got Me" instead of me - it was his elder sister's 18th birthday. I think we played well, my new Ibanez synth pedal sounded cool and ultimately everyone was on the dancefloor all night so can't have been bad
