1. It depends how much accuracy I'm forsaking I guess. If it means missing crucial notes then no, accuracy every time. If it means being slightly sloppy and messing up passing notes whilst flailing around in mid air, it's cool
 2.
When playing live... would you rather stand still and be more accurate (but less interesting to look at from the crowd) or be lively and energetic and a crowdpleaser but in turn sacrifice your accuracy?
Depends what I'm playing. I try to pull silly faces whatever I do tho
 3. I'll check what's in oth of mine and let you know! I *think* I have Rubys in the 1x15. If you can find any Sylvanias they are bloody great, I had one which I put in the 12-band head I used ot own, loved it and it really growled nicely. Wish I hadn't sold the head with that valve

 5. Ah, if you don't like the V-Type you can always give it to me Def try changing the tubes, both my V-Types break up differently as they have different tubes in them, the 1x15 combo is a lot easier to overdrive than the 4x8.
 6.
Where's the pics of your Retroactive & Groove?
Sorry! Been rather busy this week moving the gf and her daughter into my flat. Will get some nice new high quality Status porn pics taken this weekend

 8.
That's if we're not kicked out for making too much noise.... Now, show us your neck!
You can see my neck on my avatar!
 9. Love it! How are you getting on with the V-Type? It's my fave bass preamp, so easy to use and sounds grand!
 10.
On another note phoned Dawn to find out they are not making anymore Smartbasses.
Really? Shame coz they're a good "cheaper" intro to the world of Status! I just want the 5 string Streamline to be ready for ordering
 11. I'll TRY to get some up tonight but got a bit of a crazy week going on at the mo... If not you'll have to wait til the weekend I'm afraid!

 13.
Hardcore graphite porn coming up tonight sir
Hmm, I think I lied
 14.
To be honest, If I've got a gig, I might just take my rig and go straight there after! Si
I'm going straight to a gig after too, should be fun Just paid the Holiday Inn so it's all finalised except for us noisy buggers turning up on the day, hooray!
 15.
oh yeah, that what i meant ;-) How about Jet Are you gonna be my girl? sorry, this has gone way off topic.
Nope, not yet. Is it on our list?! And yes, sorry!
 16.
It does seem to be a bit strange but it looks nice and the demo track all seemed to work. I cant believe there is another band still doing I believe in a thing called love still. thought we were the only ones ;-)
We haven't actually PLAYED it for over a year, but if called upon to do it....
 17.
Just looked at your website. Like the look of it. The tracks sound good. nice recordings.
Cheers! I'm surprised the website worked, it's generally fooked at the mo and needs a damn good seeing to!
 18.
Thanks for asking and i would but i dont drive. I have a rig with each drummer to make life easy.
Ah well. If we do any London gigs that I can't do I'll give you a bell and our drummer can pick you up!
 19.
Funny enough Livin on a Prayer is also one of the only few i do note for note. We even did The Final countdown in to Livin once. great laugh (for us anyway).
Nice! Do you fancy doing dep gigs ever, sounds like you have some similar songs going on and are reasonably local? (Sorry for the thread hijack Mewsie btw!)
 20.
i could possibly make it down, pending uni stuff, but id be comin by train so i wouldnt be able to bring and amp, probably just my 'ray
Go on, you know you want to!
 21.
When i first joint my covers band i had to learn a lot of songs quickly. Its only recently i have been going back over some of these songs and realising how different my lines are to the original. It doesn't have to be exact (and never is) but it gives me something to do.
Indeed. I think I can count on one finger the number of songs I do (almost) exactly, and that's Livin on a Prayer. Everything else is my interpretation or arrangement or completely different line for a different feel. When we eventually decide to do Valerie, as I'm sure we will, I will have to stop myself nicking your idea (it's OK, I won't!)
 22.
I think there was some spat many years ago between Bon Jovi & Belinda Carlisle. They both produced songs with the same bassline and one tried to sue the other. It was thrown out though, as it was purely coincidental.
Livin On A Prayer and Heaven Is A Place On Earth! I like it when we play those two next to each other in the set, means my brain can switch off As for the chart idea, I think it would be awesmoe if we can do it. I have worked out Wake Me Up Before You Go Go and then compared it to some tabs online and the tabs are NOTHING like what I figured out... Thesedays I do a far more simplified version anyway, no-one needs bass histrionics at their wedding!
