1.
I'd be willing to bet that Thomann will send you another set free of charge. Got to be worth an e-mail
Aye, Thomann service is normally top notch.
2. Another vote for Wunjo, there is a reason they have gone from one shop to three in a short space of years, quality service.
3. Shuker is my favourite bass maker in the world and has been for a good few years now, going down the CF route is only adding to that image for me. How I have never owned one is beyond me, one day I will cave to the GAS.
4. Warwick Strings are shipped to dealers from Warwicks warehouse in MNK, the idea they just have their name on is bizarre.
5.
It doesn't look to be in very good condition. There is also only one pic. Who knows what other issues this bass may have. This may be a fair price.
You are the second person to say that, I am not sure we are looking at the same bass... The Hardware needs a good polish but the paint looks pristine.
6. If you can pick up one of the older Schecter Diamond Blackjack Series guitars you will be blown away. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Schecter-diamond-series-blackjack-tempest-with-Seymour-Duncan-JB-and-59-pickups-/231272598448?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item35d8ebcbb0 This is only one on eBay at the moment and over budget but I have seen the more 'normal' tele and strat types go for well under. They all come with - Proper Duncan pickups, Tone-Pros bridges and Grover tuners.
7. God they're ugly things. Sound great though.
8. Yep, standard Fender practice for an anniversary - Release a XXth model whatever it is, possibly more than one so you could have a mexi and a USA version Also during that anniversary put a neck plate with XXth anniversary on every single standard one they make.
9. Just had a look and the last few on here have been 350-500!
10. http://www.gak.co.uk/en/stock/secondhand £299 with case... That wont be around long.

Ah the Katana, the bass that gives me more lust than almost any other. Hideously ugly, the worst looking bass in the world in my opinion but my god when you hold one? Ergonomics. It just fits.
12. The parallel/series switching on the $$ is simply the best thing about them, they go from being what should be a very in your face bass to a much more subtle machine. I found on mine that leaving the switches in the middle which makes them run as single coils then balanced together just sounds ridiculously good.
13. haha, mine too! Maybe if I shift them I will be back!
14. I agree with parting it out and checking body markings, it could well fetch far more like that. The headstock shape is bugging me, I am sure I have seen it before.
15. I think that may well be a home made jobby. The peghead decal looks like those little waterslide letters you get in packs from craftshops, the little number 1 as well maybe indicates this was the first one he did or the first of a planned run? Nice hardware certainly, the string angles from the nut to the heads make me think home made, as well as the machine head angles, they have not all been fitted straight. Only and aesthetic issue but lends more weight to the idea it is a home made one.
16. Why are these so cheap! If there was any sense in the guitar world they would be over a grand in this nick.
17. When Genz was shut down these were the first things to sell out, way ahead of any of the amps. If I was more of a git I would be inclined to buy this and sit on it for a couple of years at which point you will probably be able to sell it for well over the odds..
18. You know it makes sense Lovely guitar, I'll get some more pix ASAP, it's well played and carries it's scars but as a player? No question, it's a proper strat.
19. This might have been the famous 'we got paid hundred quid for a gig, oh a lock in, oh its 7am, oh the hundred quid is all gone, oh another hundred quid of our own money is gone... lets go home'
