1. I have a 50 euro voucher to spend, so 40 euros for an item then the 10 for shipping. I don't want to put any cash into it, just the voucher. I have all the normal stuff, plenty of cables, picks, straps, straplocks, etc etc. I want to buy something a bit fun. Suggestions?
2. The 2012 onward models are great, new pickups and so on really brought them together.
3. Mine did that, in fact mine still says that but the moneys on my account.
4. Enfield http://www.enfieldguitars.com/
5. If you like the bass tone flat then why not just wire it passive...?
6. 50 euros in the bank. Might be time to order my studio interface...
7. Anything by Yngwie, I can't stand him
8. From my experience less than 2k with a Sandy, their prices have almost caused my credit card company manager to have a little smile on many occasions. Funny you mention a German Warwick. You could pick up a Corvette for 400 quid now, a Streamer for well under a grand second hand. The used market has just fallen apart in recent years... I totally agree though. I went though loads of stuff and now run a straight passive USA P with a 1/4 pounder and just a volume knob control (tone pot is still there but not wired in, will get a new plate made at some point and get rid. Not sure what else I would need.
9. 50 euros is not be waved at in this economy. Get a little pedal or other toy from that!
10. These Lakewood mades are absolutely the best acoustic basses ever made to my ears. I know this is a big claim but having compared one to the Korean Alien the difference is day and night. And the Korean one sounds bloody lovely.
11. Kennys are good guys, always had good experiences from the supplier perspective and only ever hear good things from a customer point of view.
12. Actually from a quick image search it looks pretty spot on as Mr Wellers autograph. The low price means it is pretty unlikely to be a scam, I would wager the guitar without any writing on it would make that much
13. As I understand ESP basically forced dealers to take one of these to keep their profile. They ended up as bassgurumonster said being blown out for pennies.
14. Actually if you can live with a plate it would not be that hard to simply mod a Fender Jazz. Take the neck pup out and get a new plate made with no neck pup hole and only one control hole. There would be holes etc but all hidden by the plate. Or get one of these - http://www.fender.co...inyl-pickguard/ Remove all the crap you don't need. Get a new plate made up. End up with this - Hell there is even the possibility of having just 4 screws holding that down to remove more crap.
15. Scratchplates were invented to cover messy routs! They only still put them on newer, nicer routed instruments because people expect one. Definitely put some kind of double coil on though if you go for it or it will be like a swarm of angry bees.
16. Also the Hoppus is a monster of a bass. If I wasn't a lefty it would be the bass I would own without question. My USA P has a Duncan 1/4 Pounder in it which is the same pickup and I swear by it.
17. Guitar Guitar newcastle will stock a hell of a lot if it is anything like any other GG branch. In fact their website has live stock, have a look at what you like and see if they have one.
18. An old colleague of mine was at the weekend a Pastor at a Christian Ministry style church in London, they had some gospel stylings to them, it always sounded quite lively!
19. One of these got passed around the forum a few years back, I think it was WPD's The general consensus was it weighs far too much than it needs to!
20. The ATK will pretty much kill any Stingray I have ever heard... Also another vote for Schecter from me, the Model T is pretty good value especially with Duncan pups. http://www.richtonemusic.co.uk/products/schecter_model-t_black.asp
