1. Ermm... No I don't think so, I think this was when I was in Lowcut with Jordan and little Joe.
2. Bloody hell I have put on some weight!
3. In regards to the Rio Rosewood discussion even if this was Rio Rosewood it wouldn't cause problems with sale, Warwick themselves still use Rio Rosewood in new builds from a stock they bought in advance of the ban (the wood itself was cut well before the ban was even discussed they bought it from a wood yard who had it there for donkeys). There is no legal issue selling an instrument with Rio Rosewood used in it provided it was built pre-ban which this clearly was.
4.
Ah, the kitchen cabinet trick, thanks :-)
Works a charm!
5. I'll do you a trade - Silver Series Fender Strat Jackson DK2L and a BC Rich Warlock all three for the Wick!?
6. Hey Folks, Here we have a beast so rare the day I found it I also saw a Unicorn, bigfoot and met Elvis on a UFO. Anyone who knows Fender/Squier and likes quality Japanese guitars know Silver series, the short lived magical period where some Squier instruments were branded Silver Series but were for all intents and purposes Japanese Fenders. This one is stranger still, after speaking at length to people in the know on Squier forums and Japanese guitar forums this seems to be one of the few that slipped the net with both a proper Fender Decal and the Silver Series decal, according to some these were just made in tiny numbers for Japans domestic market, some others claim these were just made by accident, who knows, all I can tell you is other than two Jazz basses I cannot find another one lefty or righty and I have spent weeks looking. It is well worn, I will take some close up photos of the nicks and dents, the neck laquer has cracked and split in places (alongside the fretboard) but according to my brother (the family 6 stringer and a damn fine guitarist) this is the best guitar he has ever played, it feels right and sounds perfect. Why am I selling it? We are building a studio and are clearing out a bunch to raise funds for the gear, simple as. And finally the money shot, the Ceramic pickups.. These are the best sounding Strat pickups I have ever heard, I have had my brother begging me to take these out and put in his set of Duncan Antiquities so he can keep them, alas they are part of what makes this Strat so special so I will sell it whole. £325 shipped with a cheapy gig bag, well boxed. £310 collected from my house in Gillingham Kent or meeting up somewhere local.
7. Hey folks, Selling my lefty Jackson DK2L. This is a rare old beast indeed, Japanese made (not the cheap tat they are knocking out nowdays!) Duncan Pickups, Floyd Rose, the works. It has a brand new Trem arm I waited 9 months for from Fender (they had to have it made as there was no stock in the world!) Floyd is stable, everything works, action is low, great nick (couple of minor scuffs I will photograph in detail later tonight or tomorrow) Asking £350 shipped with a gig bag well boxed or £325 collected from me, there are no Japanese made Jacksons now, the factory is shut and the lefty wasn't available for years. These scream metal but my brother used this for blues and it sounded great, it is a proper workhorse of a guitar. No trades I am selling a bunch to put a money pot together for studio gear.
8. EDIT CASE SOLD SEPARATELY, NOW A MASSIVE PRICE DROP! Hey Folks, I am selling my BC Rich Warlock Platinum Series bass. I bought this as a project that never got done (like so many of mine!) It is the Korean built model from the early 00's not the cheapy Chinese one. We have some issues to go over however before I can sell you it so read carefully! It currently has no pots, jack or switches in it, when I got it one pot was missing, one was snapped, the switch was snapped in half and the socket was totally busted, I will include with the bass a full wiring loom I got from an old Gretsch guitar (given the OK to use it based on the pups etc from the head of service at Fender UK), pots, jack, switch the works all mint (they were taken from a scrapped Gretsch that had major cosmetic damage the electronics are fine) As such the Pickups have never been tested, the previous owner assured me they work and the problems are only with the pots etc, he was very honest (surprisingly so for a distance sale) about the other issues with the bass and as such I have no reason to think he was telling porkies, if you get this and put the electronics in to find the pups are dead I will send you 20 quid off the price it sells for. The bass is heavy as hell, the neck is chunky and there are a few dings, but you buy this bass for the looks as much as the sound (who are we kidding, more for the looks!) I am asking £110, shipped, with all the wiring etc etc ready for half hour with a soldering iron and a life of looking cool. I will take £100 collected from Kent or somewhere local to me. That really is cheap as chips when these go for 300 quid... EDIT - I also remembered all the sticker gunk on the back, rest assured this will be polished and buffed to an inch of its life before you get your hands on it.
9. Hahah, I bloody wish I could! I'd buy all 4 tomorrow if money was no object. I know we all say time and time again you shouldn't buy as an investment but I am not the richest man in the world and a lot of my picking is 'can it make it's money back' God knows I would never have paid full whack for my USA P bass, despite the fact it is hands down the best instrument I have ever played I wouldn't have been able to justify losing 4/500 quid just walking out the shop! Good old staff purchase scheme saved me there!
10. Not that I have the money really but I have been GASing for something old recently. I have seen in my lookings a 1979 Stingray 4 and a trio of 78 P basses. Now I am a P bass man through and through but I can't help but think that if I do go a bit mad and pull the trigger the Stingray is a more sensible choice. It is a pre-Ernie Ball, better nick, around the same money.... The Fenders are all what I love in terms of looks but really are all CBS Fenders and probably would not increase in value that much, the Stingray on the other hand could appreciate a fair bit. I would be buying to play it and use it in the studio so the Stingray also ticks a box there for the versatile sounds but I have got the money thing in the back of my head and want to know I will always make me money back.

Fender Jaguar

I just clicked through onto it on the Fender Japan site..... I have seen them on eBay brand new recently although none on there now.

Fender Jaguar

That Pawnshop Jag is made in China I think. As I have said on here before as much as I would love more lefties it is a question of economics and even if every lefty bassist had the 1500 quid or whatever to buy a USA Lefty Jag bass they still would struggle to sell them. Of course if you have Jag GAS that just won't shift Fender Japan do them - http://www.fenderjapan.co.jp/jablh.html
13. Holy hell I used to talk to him when I was repping. Nice dude.. Not that I could ever sell him anything, he had that canny ability to sniff out sales bs that only comes from years in the industry!
14. Manchester is a bit too north for us southerners!
15.
S'pose... The 1966 Slab Precision featured highly, but of course it didn't have quite the cachet that it does now... It certainly wouldn't have cost the equivalent of £1000. rab·ble[sup] 1[/sup](rbl) n.
1. A tumultuous crowd; a mob.

That's the one I was going for!
16. Can't believe thats not gone. What a bass!
17. I know people who play in very in demand function bands and play basses that cost under 200 quid... I have had two basses that cost over a grand (well three if you include my Warwick that was 1200 new but I only paid 400 second hand) which were my Stingray and my current USA Std P. The Stingray was bought for me and when it was sold the money was used to buy my USA P at staff discount... It's horses for courses, if someone wants to spend 10k on a Ritter good luck to them, does it make them a better player?........
18.
Beautiful P bass... as much as I love the old BBOT these new style bridges look superb!
The new bridge was what sold me on the bass to be completely honest. It is so well made.
19. Mine has a big SKB, one of the last to come with them as they where residual left handed cases they supplied with the new models even though the righties had switched to ABS. Great case.
20. Ok if we are all sharing! this was mine brand new, all I had done was swap the plate, still has the tape on the pups!
21. I love mine so much. Got to string through body though!
22. Why am I getting Jazz GAS...
