Might be worth a look at [url="http://www.tonerider.com/humbuckers"]Tonerider[/url] pickups, their sound samples are very good and they're similar pricing. They're what Andyjr1515 of this parish puts in his builds - Alnico IV Classics, I believe.

Last time I looked the app was split in to the Bass Heads and the pedals.... not all the pedals were available for the bass heads.

As far as I know, delays and reverbs aren't available for the heads - they weren't last time I looked. You'll probably do what most people end up doing - loading up the Spectracomp and leaving it at that!

That looks like a really badly cut nut. The spaces between the strings should all be the same, (not string centre to string centre 'cos of the different thickness strings) and your G string looks far closer to the edge of the fretboard than the E. I'd get a new nut cut to even out the string spacing and bring the G string in.That'll give you what you want and make it better to play.

I've just come to a similar conclusion.... and I think it's down to wanting inspiration. I often think a new guitar or bass is going to inspire me to different and/or better playing, but I've just found out that it's a temporary feeling. So... I've re-strung my strat with heavy-bottom 10's and down-tuned to Eb, and I'm loving playing an learning (and re-learning) loads of Stevie Ray Vaughan songs. GAS has gone.

A new nut with the string slots cut closer together and adjust the string space at the bridge saddles if possible. However; the neck would still be the same width and so the top and bottom strings would now be further from the fretboard edge so you would get a different 'feel' which you may or may not like.

Not a great second hand market, one would've thought.

What's wrong with a piece of gaffa tape stuck to the grill cloth in front of the dust cap? That's what I used for years in my guitaring days. Worked a treat to stop the on-axis beaming.
