[/quote] I was in a "Cabaret Band" when punk hit, suits, harmonies all the flash (then), our guitarist, bless 'im, wanted to go Punk. Well he was told was'nt he. I personally did not connect, but, after watching Johnny over years I must say he has something, it not pleasing on the ears, but its a truthfull sound. When I started out in Liverpool there were a number of harmony bands the Escorts probably the best (Everlery's) but there was also a four piece (White Fenders) doing incredible Beach Boys type Harmonies, the name escapes me as do most things these days. Ah, just remembered the name, The Easybeats. Anyway I was amused that the Beach Boys needed 15 guys to replicate what a four did way back then and as much as i admire his "Legendary" Genius you really don't need a stroke/drug abuse victim on stage do you. Just say in'. Muse, he uses Status....er that's it.

I have done a few deals on this here forum, buyz, sellz, tradz and with one exception they went seamlessly. Sing the tune in your head, yep, in your head. You can learn the bass, then the words, or do it together. But, if you know the tune inside your head you will know when it is 'wrong'. Singing and playing bass is your independence bit that drummers take for granted. A good start, IMO is old rock and roll stuff, you can laugh but it chugs along and is relatively easier to hold the tune ... When it gets to Politician or Born Under A Bad Sign well that is when you need the Tune in you head. Oh, and sing at the top of your voice, in the car, get a feel for your range.... Works for me
