  1. I dont play much due to Work/Travel commitments so I am looking at changing my 5ivers, no longer a feeler. My two Overwaters, The Streamline sold first day. I have a snap or two of them and will take more this weekend. I would take a PX in for any one of them but it would need to be a Warwick Thumb (preferred choice) of the Five string variety fretted or fretless and maybe a six, with cash my way. Overwaters are Hiscox cased. Overwaters 35" scale. These two are Progress three's NT string spacing is as per initial/standard spec'. The custom bit is the wood on Blondie and the colour of Black Beauty. Black (ish) fretless Overwater was a 60th Birthday present to myself and is 6 years old, and I believe its unique insofar as its a kind of transparent black which in certain light lets the grain show through and looks almost a deep blueberry colour. Blondie is the fretted variety and well, blonde, she is 5 years old. Both basses are in immaculate condition and have hardly had what you would call 'use' apart from jamming with my buddies. [sharedmedia=core:attachments:72556] [sharedmedia=core:attachments:53248] [sharedmedia=core:attachments:53246] I had Chris put dots on the Fretless similar to the NS CRM and to me it sets the bass of, currently strung with Black (obviously) nylon tape wound strings which are not ideal but look good, from a distance it looks as though there are no strings. Summing up; A Feeler for my[s] three[/s] two 5ivers, only PX I am interested in would be Warwick of the five string flavour, fretted or fretless preferably late 80's early 90's, or maybe a 6ixer. Blondie circa £1,500.00 Black Beauty circa £1,900.00 Both custom built and an immense saving on a new purchase, both immaculate 9.99/10 Thanks for looking guys Just charging up the camera for a spot of "David Who" If by happenchance I am unable to upload please PM you e-mail address and I will oblige.

  4. The last picture of the rear, just by the heel. There seems to be a blemish. Could you take another snap just to remove any dubiety. Thanks
  5. £0.99p seems like a fair price to me, £40.00 P & P seems expensive Of course if its not the bass in the link, ignore me as well
  6. I just stumbled on this, here's a tale from the 60's, it doesn't involve booze however, intoxication of a chemical sort. In Liverpool in the mid to late 60's we didn't go for booze, well a pint and I was we'll done in, maybe two brown mixed and then we was all basket cases. The band I was in at the time belonged to the Cavern Agency, they got us the gigs, which meant we played the Cavern a lot. Typically, Tuesday lunch, Tuesday night, Thursday lunch, Thursday night ( didn't have to move the gear !!). Friday was usually a double, Cavern first ( the gear was there) then some other gig. Saturday could be another Double featuring Cavern first, other gig second, then back to the Cavern for the "All Nighter". Then about once a month coinciding with the Cavern "All Nighter" was a Sunday afternoon "Marathon" at the "Sink" Harman Street, than back to the Cavern for another gig. So, where does the Buzz come in. One afternoon, Jud the Pill ( I kid you not) offered us some Dexedrine, his mate worked for Evans Medical and we could have them for 6d each, that's old money or 2.5p each in today's loot. Yes we said fairly knackered, we bought 6, one each, no result for about 10 minutes, we felt good, our "fan base' said we just seemed to take off, manic, good even. All I know is that I was awake for 24 hours talkin rubbish to anyone who would listen especially other pill heads. No moral here I was 18 at the time, took em again once or twice, even took a Black Bomber once up for Days. That was then, now I don't drink before a gig as beer closes my throat and as I do the sing in' that's no good, half way through if I'm ok I'll take pint or two but mostly water. Remember, the punters Do Not Know....
  7. Now that does look nice, more Pedula than Pedula. Fretless anyone?
  8. You do realise Paul you have ruined the weekend
  9. How long did the gig last?
  10. [quote name='vax2002' timestamp='1335473201' post='1631923'] The hollies were a fiftys band.... [/quote] They where still in the juniors then, in '63 they played a lot in Liverpool when Eric was the Bass, they where "Old" then
  11. Sorted now, takes a bit of time to load. Nice, bit HM for me good luck with the sale.
  12. Link ain't working for me
  13. No, he's thinking where he lives and looking for some suitable snaps on the web and deciding if its fretted, fretless, 4,5 or 6.
  14. It is useful for a newbie to actually provide all the information that will help you sell this instrument. Proof of how exclusive it is in the form of say, some photographs, a note of a serial number, the name of previous noteworthy owners of this guitar. In fact the whole 4 or 5 or even 6 strings of it. Oh, I nearly forgot does it have those wirey things across the neck at right angles or is the neck one of those flat, well nearly flat pieces of wood. Hope this helps.
  15. Newbie's
  16. You you still still got got this this? If so please PM me
  17. I have the 5er, considering a fretless, all you need for bass in a minuscule package has to be played to be believed. I put mine up for sale here and withdrew it, couldn't part. Good luck bump
  18. Father Christmas happened to deliver a trio of blackness Christmas Eve, "The Tony" (pictures soon), The Godin, and a Streamer, 2 x 4,s and a five, all fretless all Black....... Had he been delayed or had Mrs Blondie not caught me with the Godin, this 'Onyxness' may have had to cross the border....good luck.
  19. Matt, good luck with sale, Mrs Blondie would decapitate my hands (did I get that right?) if she caught me even looking....
  20. If your mate gave it you, gratis and free with no charge as a gift, er, I can be your mate and well , er, you could give it to me. Your mate would appreciate that in the spirit of things and well, so would I.......
