1. I don't have any problem with flats & I've tried several, favourites being GHS Precision Flats, which I believe are Sandbergs, so not a common problem IMO. Not wishing to offend - are you bending the string over/behind the fret when checking the tuning? Is the action a bit high? Just thinking maybe they don't 'bend' as easy as rounds, streching/changing length more & giving a bad reading when intonating, dunno just thinking out loud really Cheerz, John
2. This morning only - Google Chrome won't let me run Basschat - Malware warning, I'm here on ie8, very slow. Haven't had much trouble with the last few days, this seems like something new.
3. I made a '62 Jazz style stacked knob control kit for Neil, great transaction, superb comms from start to finish & instant payment, deal with confidence. Cheerz, John

7. What a silly billy hope it mends quick & good, lesson learned? Every sympathy, best of luck, Cheerz. John
8. How about stocking more variety of Flatwound strings, especially for the guys who need strings more than they need more 'high-end brands' & while I'm at it - how about having a bass or 3 set up with Flats on amongst the many 'basses on show'?
9. I've got a mate's 1960 Strat in for repairs, he bought in 2nd hand in '62 & has loved it ever since. - The point is - he picked up my Vintage Advance AV2 Tele Lite style & couldn't put it down, he was over the moon with it. That's dead standard, with all Trevor Wilkinson's hardware & TBH could do with a set up. He had no idea of the name or the price but now he wants one real bad! Testament from a dyed in the wood Fender Strat man That's my impression of the Vintage stuff, punches far above it's weight/cost. Don't worry about the badge just as long as it feels right & sounds good.
10. 'Snot Seoul is it
11. I know nothing about Rays, but that is beautiful & I'm sure every Ray lover & collector will be selling vital body parts to get their hands on that one!

16. - - "the LB-112 that arrived needed a Speakon cable no shop here had in store. " - - Did nobody know the sockets Ashdown use are dual purpose Speakon/1/4" Jack ?? If a 1/4" Jack fits in the hole in the centre of the Speakon then it's a dual purpose socket & works just as well with either - - "Mind you, I'm not gonna live with just the LBs. I want a little modern hi-fi thingie on their side. They can marry for all I care, or make bastard babies - I just want both alternatives present in the same room, so I can plug 'n' play 'n' learn." - - Exactly my thinking & why I got the MiBass 220 - but I don't have a Mi10 cab to go with, yet Cheerz, John
17. A 'phone call will almost certainly get a new set in the post straight away, they're very good at customer service. Be warned though - if Jason answers the 'phone - you'll probably be told more than you ever dreamed you wanted to know about strings, how they're made & why very rarely of course - you might get a duff one. Cheerz, John
18. I made a P-bass wiring kit for Tom, he's a true gent of the BC manor, a smooth & easy painless transaction, as many before have said. Top guy! Cheerz, John

22. I'm sure the new classified format will make the whole thing so much more professional, as long as the users stick with it. It is a huge part of this forum which also is a major attractant for new members, sometimes they stay sometimes they don't, but the more people that use the Marketplace the better it becomes. I'm ashamed to see that only 4% of sellers using the free advertising actually make a contribution, we deserve a group kick up the arse for that, come on - where else could you get the target audience this place offers - for nothing? I agree the bumping has or had got out of control, personally I'd be happy to see the 36 hour rule extended to once a week. Cheerz, John
23. Marvin bought a P-bass wiring loom, excellent comms, instant payment, all round pleasure to deal with, highly recommended. Cheerz, John
24. Just heard back from my mate marmite he's sorry but he can't get the cash together this side of Christmas everyone's struggling ATM. GLWTS, Cheerz, John
