Nice gig at Eastbourne TUC club - small room, low ceiling but balance was great, punters dancing from second song to the end, forgot my crib sheets (only been with this band a short while) but somehow got away with the few bits that went awry! All in all a good night - shame I need to be up in 6 hours time and don't feel the least bit tired!

You're right - just goes to show how custom luthier basses don't hold their value - bet it's heaps better than a MIM?!

New they're about £900 now, but despite what they say, this isn't new and should be nearer the 5-600 mark which is what the last couple on here made (mine being one of them). They are very good EUB's and are the one that Stagg have copied.

Not sure about having to really move around but yes, a band must put in that little something extra to make a live show work. I saw Van Morrison in Marlay Park just outside of Dublin - re-arranged venue due to the original show (closer to town) being flooded - typical July "soft" weather. Not great crowd, and a lot there were more into the more Celtic side of Van whereas the show was a full on RnB set. The band and Van were amazing, the show really buzzed despite a muted response from the crowd. Saw him 3 weeks later, same band, same set at the Bishopstock Blues Festival - audience really into it but a real "going through the motions" feel to the set. Not a note out of place but it just didn't have the same buzz as Dublin.

Thanks Hutch - got one 2gb card and that's getting "reading song" message that seems quite common. 1gb are as rare as hen's teeth these days

Just bought one of these and want to get a larger SD card - unfortunately the first Sansdisk 2gb I put in isn't compatible - anyone know of a source of supply for compatible 1 or 2gb cards - they seem way too small for most suppliers now!

Gladys Knight was the best thing on Jools Holland's Later in the last couple of years - in fact most of the older acts were the ones that shone through.

Funny, I can accept it by Mark King and many of the funk greats and even Flea as they fit it into a musical style. To me it is like guitarists shredding - when it reaches the point of being competitive it totally misses the point as then loses any musical qualities that the aformentioned players bring to it.
