Okay, here's my contribution: https://soundcloud.c...mbung/slow-glow Look forward to hearing the others...
Love it! I know it is a spooky wedding theme but that could hav ebeen the world's most evil toy box
 3.
In 2010 I had a couple of job interviews at the end on November. No one had heard of it.
Now if it was like the one in your avatar..... Here's my first week:
 4. So the taches are a week old - I'll be putting a progess picture up tomorrow! Just found out I have a really imprtant work meeting on Tuesday - hope the person I'm meeting knows about Movember!!
 5.
Barrie - looking on TB there were a few reports of BX500s cutting out. Has this been sorted, do you know? They look like nice heads for a back-up...
Been using mine now for over a year and it has been absolutely fine all the way. Cracking amp - I'd almost have a wager that it wouldn't remain a back-up!!
 6. We're in the top 1,000 UK teams - no idea if that's good bad or indifferent! Keep up the good work folks!!
 7. Usually the mums that get this but the common one is carpal tunnel syndrome. Often needs a minor op
 8.
Raised £80 so far
Great stuff - my miserable friends have stumped up a total of £15 Still, the awareness side of Movember is just as important!
 9.
Cheers man. I started off looking a the BX500 and was planning on getting just that...i'd never heard of the BX1500/2000....but when i saw the prices on Bass Gear and the fact they had a sale i was like phwoooarr....one amp to rule them all haha. Yes agreed, shame there's not any Carvin bass cab distributors either ...i hear good things on TB about their 8x10 & also their 18" cabs.....as i say my 2x10 Carvin is brilliant and i bought it off here for very little too.
Could create some truly monstrous rigs - perhaps they're saving us from ourselves
 10.
We should also all have tache BC avatars for Movember?
Blimey Chris, give us a chance to grow them There you go - not promising anything like that at the end of the month though!!
 11.
I'm in
Welcome on board - that's seven of us now - well done Basschat
 12.
I missed this guys, I already signed up to a mate's page. Tomorrow morning I'll be clean shaven for the first time in eleventy-odd years.
Can still share the photographic evidence here!!
 13. Yep, with you on this. Had a VM as I wanted to try out fretless. Didn't get to try one first but played a few CV's - loved them all but was ultimately disappointed with the VM (liked fretless so much I've got a Shuker 5 string now)!
 14. Another very happy BX500 user (and responsible for Bensabre getting one)
Agreed, Carvin need to up there public relations a bit me thinks. Incidentally i have a Carvin 2x10 and it is brilliant and light.
Not sure it is the public relations so much as the availablility - no major distributor behind them flogging them at low margins to every job lot merchant in the country, leaving it down to Phil and the guys at BassGear to give us all great service and a really nicely priced piece of kit!
 15.
IIRC, my school had an old Grant Jazz copy and a generic cheapy brand P copy. They weren't great, but they worked. I always wished they would get a double bass, as I really wanted to play double bass at the time but my family could never afford one. There was also one of those wretched Carlsbro Stingray combos with the push buttons which I used to use with the school big band. The thing which used to really break my heart was the stack of interesting but unused older equipment in a corner, which included a couple of valve amps (one was a Selmer T&B ), a Logan String machine keyboard and worst of all, a Rhodes Suitcase piano, which they never took the lid off in the whole six years I was there...
Pretty sure we had a couple of valve amps that would get people all a quiver nowadays! Some huge cabs as well, no idea now what they were.
 16. It's upon us, so in preparation the beard has gone (as per Movember's harsh rules) so I guess I need to share some evidence (well it is Halloween after all) http://s1137.photobucket.com/user/Mykesbass/library/Movember
 17. We had a beaten up old Burns which we all hated - how little we knew
 18. Nice post Clarky. The drummer at the end of the clip depped for us recently - nothing like having to be on your game knowing who else she plays for!!
 19.
Well done everyone involved. I've done it the last few years but this year I've decided to do the 'sober for October' in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, so would have been too much to ask friends and family to donate two months in a row. Been looking for a way to support Movember this year as no-one I know is doing it. Glad I spotted this, will be donating to OP.
Thanks Sharkfinger and good luck with Sober for October (nearly there)!
 20.
Joined. I will be attempting to grow a 'tache in the style of Frank Zappa - you will probably have to take my word for it!
What's this forum's golden rule - no pics, it didn't happen!! Thanks for joining Heathy!
 21. OK, just Facebooked my old drummer mate who is pretty well connected in both Ipswich and Norwich. Cheers, Mike
 22. Where are you the days before and after? Got a couple of mates in Ipswich who might be able to help.
 23. Welcome BurritoBass, thanks for joining the team. Glad to hear that you won back in 2009 Paul 5 - selfies indeed! One should LOL or something to that shouldn't one?!
