1. Someone needs to email and ask if buyer can pay cash on collection
2. Hello all Having just upgraded to a PJB 8B cab, it’s time to sell my fantastic 6B cab. I’ve had this cab for a year and it has been terrific. It’s been gigged about once a month, but everything is in perfect condition and works faultlessly. • Sensitivity: 95dB/W/M • Impedance: 6 ohm • Frequency Response: 35Hz - 15KHz • Power: 300W • Size: 15.8 x 17.7 x 23 inch ( W x D x H) • Weight: 46 lbs / 21 kg The cab has a street price of £529 and I will also include a custom made and very nice padded cover from Hot Covers that cost £41; total purchase price £570. I’d like a firm £400 for both. Buyer collects from NE Hampshire, or I can meet halfway if local(ish), or I can post at your cost in the 8B box. Thanks Gareth
3. Up for sale is a D'Addario XL Nickel Wound low B .125, tapered at ball end. 34" scale. I no longer have need of this string. It's new and unused in the box. Strings Direct sell them for £7.95; I'll do it for the same but including 1st class post. Would also trade for the same string but in the non-tapered version. Cheers Gareth
4. Love these. My first "proper" amp was one of these; add a 1x15 underneath and silly loud. Bargainalicious bump!
5.
The Phil jones rig, m300 with 6b, has a real hifi sound but lacks that bass cab bloom must of us like. If I switch to the Epifani cab the sound opens up with lots more bass and treble.
You hear the bass differently with PJB cabs when you're next to them; much less of an issue when there's some distance between you. Bumnote has had success standing to the side of his cabs rather than in right in front, perhaps try that?
6. I may well be available, and six years in a disco/soul band would probably stand me in good stead for the set list!
7.
Thanks, sounds promising. I guess with synth access it could be a 1,000 trick pony but I'm only really interested in the one trick. I'm a bit confused as to what piezo it uses. On the Godin website it says an undersaddle transducer and preamp by L.R.Baggs but I was recently in touch with RMC about their piezo saddles and they said try an A4 to hear what they sound like. Maybe the new A4s us RMC saddles and preamp? Shame you haven't still got it or I could whip over and have a go! Cheers
They stopped using the Baggs a while ago. Mine had RMC saddles and, as I said, was brand new two years ago. I notice that the mag pickup version is offered as an "ultra" model, with the piezo-only still in production. You can always come and play my Veillette instead. It costs a lot more than the Godins but my god what a bass...
8. Well, it's a long wait for sure, and a pretty penny to spend, but Paul obviously has plenty of takers at the moment!
9. I had one, bought new, for a short while a couple of years ago. This was prior to the new version with the added magnetic pickup. Nice warm sound from the piezo, not too clicky like some and very woody. Good EQ as well, and the synth access was fun. Bit of a one trick pony, albeit one it did very well, so the new version with magnetic pickup should be more versatile.
10. Hint of Ken Smith BMT there methinks...
11. And what do you think of it? I loved the Doubler I had.
12.
Oooooops - I hope Chez Clarky doesn't smell of burnt circuit board now.
13. No! They have a voltage jumper inside you need to check first. It was probably changed before export, but best to check.... See page 10 of the manual here for more info.

If only someone would buy my Veillette...
15. PJB is renowned for good customer service, so I'm surprised you've had no joy yet. Alan at Synergy is also a top bloke to deal with.
16. I'm biased, but a Veillette Minotaur would be awesome.
17.
I have a feeling I'm going to be looking for an Ashdown.
Andertons have the LB and the Drophead combo in stock, apparently.
18. Wouldn't it be great to have on the market a small all-valve head that was 100-150 watts. I guess another possibility is a really nice valve pre with a power amp? Trace Elliot Twin Valve is a good call, but they are pretty heavy IIRC? Cheers Gareth
19.
From memory..its a thin coat of an acrylic of some sort. Best find out what it is/was back in '83 as a starter. My guess would be a slight sand and re-application of something compatible - nothing wax based is going to help further restoration.
+1 to this
20. Hi Dave Hope all is well. That's a very nice piece of wood! Cheers Gareth
21. Withdrawn until later in the summer, when the new D600 combo hits the UK.
22. TRADED
