1. Returning these to the shop for a refund. Thanks for looking.
2. New and unused, still sealed in package. Slightly more domed than a proper P bass knob but will do the job. For use on 1/4" diameter solid shaft potentiometers. Set screw tightening requires a 5/64" allen wrench. Cost me £10.95 posted. Selling for £10 posted.
3. I've played this bass and it really is delicious. Very smooth and fast neck, excellent tone and a good weight IIRC.
4.
Just bought a wiring kit from John, great guy to deal with, it turned up super quick and its a professional job to boot.
Exactly the same as my experience. John's a pleasure to deal with and the wiring kits are top notch!
5. Sold a preamp to Nick. Paid quickly and good communication, what's not to like? Top fella.
6.
Are you planning on bringing this to the SE Bass Bash on the 24th?? I'm sure that once people have heard and played this there is bound to be some interest.. IIRC isn't there a sound clip video posted somewhere on BC - why isn't the thread address also on this thread??
I was going to the Bass Bash, but unfortunatley I can't make it any more. I haven't made a video of this bass, but there is a clip of me playing it's sibling, the Archtop fretless, on Youtube.
7. I'm sure the Hot Rod was a short-lived production model?
8. Still here and still open to trade+cash offers, and just sensible offers actually...
9. Carrying on with the Genz Benz love, the Streamliner 600 or 900 would fit the bill nicely.
10. I may be tempted by the 1x15 if LTF wants the 4x8
11. OBBM has at least one of these, I'm sure he'll be along in a bit
12.
Im looking to sell it.
Tell me more...
13.
Thanks Daf. I took the bass up to my luthier (!) who is doing stuff to it and installing the spiros (thanks Gareth). I am no great fan of spiros but they will do for now and I might go for a set of the solo Inno string tuned to concert when I am happy with the setup of the instrument.
Where's the thumbs up icon when you need it! Cheers Owen, I hope they do a job for you.
14.
Perhaps it helped that I'd just bought the Little Bastard + cab from them or perhaps you spoke to the wrong guy
Didn't realise you can buy direct from Ashdown!
15. I'm a recent convert to Ashdown, but Guy has always been fantastic responding to the barrage of emails I've sent to him.
They could not have been more helpful when I wanted to 'update' my Mini48 cab to look the same as my Little Bastard cab.
That's funny, as when I asked the same question they weren't willing to help!
16. I had the very same setup as my first "proper" rig. Top notch stuff and eminently giggable. Amazed it's still here as that price is a STEAL!
17. Not an exact fit, but how about this mixer bag from Gator?
18. Has anyone noticed scracthy a scratchy volume pot on the Streamliner? I saw on TB that this is quite common?
19. I have a Streamliner 600 on demo from The Gallery at the moment and I must say I absolutely love it, as do the band. The tone is great, it sits in the live mix beautifully, and there is real heft to the notes. Pretty sure I will be buying it.
20.
link doesn't work on my Mac
Nor my PC. Keen to do this survey though!
21. I am coming around to the opinion that the CXL112 is my favourite gigging cab - the perfect balance of size, power and tone. I love these cabs. I'd take them if my Ashdown Mini Neos would sell.
22.
I like the low B..but then again I generally prefer a low B to a high C on fretted too.I think the main reason is just because the low B is more practical in the majority of situations. The high C is great if you are playing more solo and chordal stuff.
+1 to this. Holds true for fretted 5s as well IMHO.
23. My Veillette Paris is still here....
24. Thanks guys! All academic anyway as I now have an LB212.
