In black that guitar is quite nice, but in sunburst... GAS!
You seen the Mustang special? Very nice. -

The band I play bass in seems to have disbanded and my cheapy Yamaha has turned me native (fretless) so I have no need for my Warwick Streamer Pro-M anymore. It's a '98, everything works fine and I've kept it waxed since I got it a couple of years ago. It has a Hipshot D-tuner on the E and I have the original tuner as well if you want to change back. Website blurb here:- "The Streamer Pro M bass takes the same body and neck construction as the Streamer LX and adds a very special pickup and electronics package to it. The AA Flamed Maple body of the Streamer Pro M is shaped for ultimate playing comfort, combined with a bolt-on Ovangkol neck with a Wenge fingerboard and golden hardware. The MEC Twin-J pickup system is actually two separate J-style pickups in one single mounting. A MEC active 2-band preamp allows you to get a wide variety of tones that is difficult to generate on any other bass." Based in Sheffield, collection preferred or I can meet to deliver for a petrol contribution (if it's not too far, I hate driving). Warwick gigbag and Levys strap included. £400 or trade considered for a decent fretless. And yes, I know my carpet needs vacuuming and the door needs painting.
I'd be happy to do them if you don't mind paying the postage Scoop Eude
I can't see a fellow BC'er lumbered with all that work. I'll do a few. You know, just to help out.
I think one of their cabs/combos was based on Hartke, with metal speaker cones et al!
I had one of those cabs and I've ranted about them on here before. Appaling pieces of equipment that put me off Behringer for life.

Well I initially soldered the PBC the wrong way up on the pots and put off fixing it for a while but I finally wired up the footswitch today and it's finished! First, I tired it out on my Jazzmaster; it does not like low output pickups and chokes out if they're set too low. I initially thought it wasn't working properly but then tried it with my bass. It held long sustained notes very well and the fuzz was pretty musical sounding. The octave up effect was hard to discern at first, but this was in accordance with the videos I'd seen of the original unit. I only tried it though the crappy Kustom practice combo that's lying around the house but if anyone's interested, I'll record a few clips through the DI.

Which make/model did you go for? I had a 'duh' moment when I gigged with mine for the first time, as in 'duh, why didn't I get one of these years ago?'. I didn't have to spend time tweaking the amp and bass settings, it just gave me a really nice even tone and I could spend more time concentrating on playing. -
If you can persuade a local music shop to part with a box one of their basses was shipped in and get some packing chips you'd be able to post it and have better luck selling it. I had a bass on here for a while, collection only, with no interest and it was gone within a week when I offered to post by courier.

The bass nerd in me wants to play them all and the skinflint in me shudders to think how much that collection set you back! If I had the cash to buy any bass, a single cut ACG fretless is top of the list. Of course that could change tomorrow.

I'm fairly regularly buying effects and finding I don't have a use for them on my board, for either guitar or bass. However, that doesn't stop me as I've always loved pedals for some reason. It's why I like scouring the effects for sale section on here, getting a bargain, playing around with it and moving it on to make space for the next toy. Occasionally one arrives that's a keeper! I think it depends on the kind of music you play. If you don't need effects and your bass/amp sounds good, save your money. As for certain effects sounding awful, I've never liked most filters but it's a matter of personal taste. My current bass setup is Tuner > BYOC optical compressor > DHA VT1 > Aphex Bass Xciter and the only thing I can see changing is maybe movig the DHA on as I'm mainly playing clean fretless so don't need a drive pedal. Guitar one (for info) is Volume Pedal > Fredric Effects Harmonic Percolator > Line 6 M5 > MXR Carbon Copy. Both pretty simple boards for a self confessed effects fan.
For some reason this is the combo I think of when I think of a Bongo. Looks ace though! I wouldn't go for anything at all like that finish usually, but Bongos are "funky"!
See I don't usually like them but that's quite nice. Someone had a 'Ray in metallic orange as well and I think that'd be good with a black plate.

They always come across like really versatile, playable basses, but personally I agree that they look hideous. I'd still consider one if I had the cash, if only to annoy our singer who doesn't like how most of my basses look
