  1. Number of gigs doesn't equate to level of competence. To suggest a band that only plays 6 gig's a year doesn't deserve good musicians is a bizarre stand point.
  2. Sounds perfect. Describes my current situation. I love playing, and playing with great players, I just have no love for gigging. So 6 per year is about right....for me. What's the issue?
  3. Wow! This looks a Fab event, nice one @scrumpymike Glad to see the South West stronger than ever! Have fun (that menu is a draw in itself 😋
  4. Where are you? How much to post? Pmd
  5. £15 Having another clear out. 3 sets used strings, come off various basses I've bought recently. I only buy boring fender style, so cut for 4 in line. No idea gauge or make, I think 2 sets are nickel but don't sue me if they're not please 😇 2 bbot bridges, 1 Wilkinson with brass saddles. Both come with screws. I want the whole lot to go please. £15 for the lot posted seems OK. Thanks. John
  6. Vintage Bump & separate prices for Tascam R2R & Seck desk.
  7. ...on bass...😌
  8. Stop it! Put your incantations away, you know what the magistrate said....

(Acoustic guitars, digital multitracks) Tascam MSR 16 R2R Tape + remote (£499 including both unused tapes, patch bays & rack units) Seck 1882 mkii Analogue desk + PSU (£100) 2 unused boxed tapes Patch bays Alesis rack compressor ART rack verb unit Boxes of Leads. Equipment in my studio in Exmoor, so collection from there, but I could collect & bring to Bath/Bristol.
  10. Did I play this when I bought the parlour off you? If so, lovely little guitar this & a gentleman owner. Mmmmmm. Tempted
  11. I noticed that. Amateur 😁
  12. Came across this guy by accident, looking for something else completely. Love his voice & his passionate delivery. Talented chap too.
  13. Great stuff. Can I ask, did you take lessons? Reason I ask is when I taught, I did have a couple of lefties, but no one with upside down stringing. Would have been fun to teach I'd imagine... don't know why. 😊
  14. Luck you. Looked such a joyous occasion. Here's Lee with his upside down strung left handed
  15. Just checked him on the googlewebnet and it's definitely Lee Pomeroy. Thanks for the heads up
  16. It was a great performance, would have loved to have been there. As for the "upside down" stringing, I found it intruiging. But it's only muscle memory after all. Bass player had a great voice too.
  17. Sorry if this appears somewhere else on the site, but search didn't find anything. Anyway, been watching the above documentary on iplayer, & apart from being a joyous gig with a mahoosive body of work, & a great band, I noticed the bass player is a leftie playing the bass strung right handed (upside down) anyone else play this way here? Nice player (of course)
  18. 13 gigs (10 of which were made up of 2 small tours). That's enough for me as I don't particularly enjoy gigging (yes, yes, I know....dont go on) But.... lots of studio time this year, recording, writing, arranging which is where I most love to be.
  19. That's a Fab looking bass. Glwts
  20. To be fair it gets better at 1:17
