1.
For the buyer - the customs charges are paid but there’s a handling fee by the broker, it tends to cost about twice as much as normal customs charges would be however they do go through quicker.
OK, thanks for the reply. Interesting.
2.
...their global shipping option is a complete con!
Interesting, in what way Ash? For the seller or buyer? I usually shy away from sending outside UK.

4. Any bass where the top strap button is higher than the 12th fret. I love the sound and feel of Spectors for instance, but reaching for the 1st fret is an uncomfortable stretch, unless I have the neck pointing upwards. I tend not to care what a bass looks like, not that bothered what it sounds like, but it has to be comfortable to play.
5. A couple of thoughts. 1) The band have confidence in you & think you're up to the task of learning it...stick with it. 2) The band have confidence in you, and want to stretch you, stick with it. 3) The band have little thought about you're thoughts or feelings about the songs challenges, stick with it & ask for time & get some help with it? 4) something else....others here are more wise, and will be along with suggestions.
6. enjoyed that, thanks. Louis Johnson must be knackered after every gig 😁
7. I want to play with that drummer. Someone arrange it for me please. There's half a used Mars bar in it for you.
8.
Has the neck got side dots? I can't see from the pics.
Hi, Yes it does. Forgot to include that shot doh!. Here's a pic. https://photos.app.goo.gl/DriajviRIOHJX5l92
9. No sniffs, too pricey? Think I'll break up for spares. Watch this space?
10. Apparently I make sought after pre amps for basses, favoured by a chap up in Moffat....
11. Davey Johnstone, a 20 trick pony & b/v's
12. Sunday bump. Prepared to strip it and part out (body, neck, bridge, pups, tuners, etc) if enough interest. Shame as nicely put together. £390
13. YOB Bass....😍😛 Surely this is what the government had in mind when they relaxed the pension laws?
14.
I don't get this band. His voice sounds like a strangled cat, they look like dorks, they write streams of hippy goblin nonsense land there's slathers of horrible, tuneless, metal guitar over everything. Mysteriously, all the commenters reckon they're musical geniuses. On the plus side they come across as nice fellas - but this rockumentary is dull as ditch water for all but die-hard fans.
As I said in the OP, I don't like Rush's music, and the documentary didn't change that, but they came across as the polar opposite of the willy waving, egotist in- fighting nonsense of the bands who's music I actually like.
15. Bump Including black scratchplate if you want to go "stealth" https://photos.app.goo.gl/ouccaUGVeiNEXnrF3 £390 posted.
16. I can't be doing with disorganized musicians, I don't care how good they are. FB messenger or whatsapp are such easy way of communicating with a group of people. There are no excuses these days, just laziness.
17.
Agree with oldslapper. Made me sad it's all over... (Whispers - still preferred his Rick)
Haha...i couldn't tell the difference in tone between his jazz & his ric tbh.
18.
If it's the one I've seen, it is indeed a really documentary. Did it have them in a restaurant having a meal at the end? They do seem very genuine, normal guys (for rock stars at least).
Yes, that's the one. The scene in the restaurant shows them all as very self effacing.
19. Had a few days in bed (on deaths door obvs) with man flu, so watched a load of music documentaries on Netflix. Ran out of bands/artists I liked, so decided to watch the Rush documentary. Not a fan by any stretch, always appreciated their musicianship mind. Anyhoo, I was left with the impression that they were a really nice bunch of blokes. Geddy & Alex's relationship seemed really warm & genuine, very little in the way of egotistic willy waving. Neil seemed to be the "loner" geeks'geek & I was moved by Neil's bereavement, & the way he dealt with it. Also, other than Geddy looking like the local warlock, Alex & Neil wouldn't look out of place at a librarians picnic. Having watched Eagles & police documentaries, where ego's and power struggles were pretty ugly, it was a refreshing change. Yes I still wouldn't choose to listen to their music, but I know who I'd rather hang out with. Of course it could be a massive publicity stunt, but I doubt it....."nice" ain't very rocknroll
20.
Yeah that crossed my mind too, but the head actually says 'jazz bass special'. A bitsa job perhaps.
Aah, couldn't see the writing. Always fancied a lyte.
21. Looks like a P bass lyte from the picture, but I haven't been on FB for ages so haven't looked at the ad
