  1. The wise Mr Flowers comes to mind "I've got ham but I'm not a hamster". Or was it "I've got a badge but I'm not a badger"? Owning a car alone doesn't make you a driver. The moment you drive the car however....
  2. The guys playing style & tone is obviously part of the Korn sound, so it is what it is. Not my cuppa tea but I'm not going to judge it musically. The thing that intrigued me was the difficulty I had in hearing a discernible note on the low strings. What does he tune it to? Are there tuners out there that can sense a low Z? Interesting.
  3. Looks like it's sold subject to payment. 😎
  4. Alesis SR16 Drum machine. With psu, no original box but will be packaged well. Owned from new, just haven't used it for a while. Good condition, tested & working. Price includes packing & postage within UK. Thanks, John
  5. I think it used to be a functioning bass guitar.
  6. Just my tuppence worth... Don't forget to do an impressive slap solo at some point.. before, during & after the song. Bands love that. Talk about the gear you've brought ..in detail. Not forgetting to mention all the gear you've owned over the years. Bands love that. Name drop (even if it's the most tenuous of links). Bands love that. Ask the guitarist(s) why they're not playing a strat/paul/sg (delete as appropriate). Guitarists love that. Helpfully mention the singer's a bit "pitchy". They love that. Tell the band leader (on the quiet obviously, you're not insensitive) that you've got a drummer mate who you've played with for years, and he/she is easier to "lock in with". You're smashing it at this point, they'll love you. You're welcome. Sent from my bedroom. Don't forget to come & see slappys' one man band.... 🤠
  7. Those 2 builds are simply beautiful. I can barely cut a piece of paper in a straight line with a guillotine, so have huge admiration for the skills required to make a guitar like those. The shape of these models are my favourite, but I've never found one I like to play once they're in my hand. Perhaps I need to play one of yours 😁. Anyway, lovely job @Gilmourisgod
  8. Not last night, but recent Jo Burt gig. I'm obviously wiping away the spiders web up the dusty end, whilst doing my world famous Larry Grayson impression....."shut that door Isla.."
  9. Or their nephew.
  10. One of my favourite 5 string neck profiles, wide & flat. So easy to play.
  11. Back from holiday and this beauty is still available.
  12. I can see where this "thread" is going. It's knot going to end well..

  14. "crudely modified" One man's butchery is another man's "modification".🤡
  15. "grief has a shaft stiffness" Never a truer word spoken.
  16. Loved my 2 Bassix uprights. This model is one of Alan's best. Surprised it's still here too.
  17. The back of that neck is stunning. I don't need 4 acoustics, but I'm looking around the house seeing if anything can be sold/rented. The dog is looking very worried right now.
  18. Yeah Andy, it was sold money changed hands but buyer changed their mind so refunded and back up. Actually had a lovely set up since and possible hard case if I can find it.
  19. Back up for sale bump Might be able to get a hard case for it for no extra cost, but will help with courier delivery.
  20. Greyum sold me a lovely acoustic guitar. Wonderfully set up by the man himself and delivered to my grubby mits in person. Thanks! 😊
