If you can find one, the Funk Logic DD-301 Digilog Dynamicator is the ideal 1U space filler. The ultimate in audio DFA technology... Yes, it's basically a blank panel with some knobs and a fake VU meter on it. They're a bit hard to come by these days, mine is pretty much the only one I've ever seen. I even wrote a BC review of it about a hundred years ago.

Not FX as such, but I've decided that I'm going to replace the volume pedal on my board with a homebrewed buffered mute switch with tuner output. The mute LED will flash, just make sure that I can't miss it. I only ever use the volume pedal as an on-off anyway, so it makes zero sense to keep it really and I might as well get some cash for it instead. Plus I already have all the bits I need to make the mute box.

As I understand, it's Folks-vargen - the 'o' in folks is short as in 'doll'.

I did perform a few mods/changes on my Wal Pro 2E... fitted a D-tuner, fitted Schaller straplock buttons, swapped the pickup toggle switch for a rotary one. I kept the original parts and these changes have now been reversed (apart from the strap buttons, and it'd take seconds to change those), and it's back to factory stock. Many years ago I did contemplate having the pickups and electrics changed to Custom spec, I'm glad I didn't.
