  1. Thanks for the solid info! I'll give Elixirs a go. Whats the difference between stainless and nickel strings? I've generally been using EB regular slinky nickels for ages now, so not had much experience with stainless but will give em a go. Is it the 14677 pack I'd need?
  2. As per title I'm looking for string suggestions. I love regular EB Slinkys when first put on but they soon fade out... so I end up changing them more times than I'd like which is becoming a costly affair with a handful of basses 😭😆 any suggestions welcome 🙏
  3. I'm on the hunt for one of these basses but have come to the conclusion they are quite scarce. Have they stopped production? I can't seem to find any for sale at the moment 🤷‍♂️
  4. Its not THAT bad but I just think there's probably something more suited for me out there. Unfortunately most places around here only stock a little selection since Electro Music closed it's doors.
  5. Thats good to know, the width is not a problem, i have a jazz elite V and thats more comfortable to play surprisingly. It's the depth front to back that can be a pain as my thumb could do with being a tad longer so end up developing bad techniques to cope unless i wear it under my chin lol
  6. I was wondering, I've heard the early pre earnie ball basses have thinner necks, is this true or hardly noticeable? Also the spector euro has caught my eye and sounds great, I've just no idea what the neck is like.
  7. That is a cracker 🤩 I'll check the warwick out too
  8. Yes, these have taken a fancy to be honest especially in the rarer colour combo. The problem I have is no where stocks alot of basses around where I live, most music shops only have a very small section so whatever I decide will most likely be a blind purchase 😅
  9. That's sounds like a good deal I'll have a look
  10. Yeah I've never had a chance to have a go on a USA Sterling and that is a consideration. Is there a noticeable difference between the neck? The slo is rocking horse poop I'd definately consider one of those of even a caprice. Again pretty rare now
  11. Could be a possibility I'm just not sure Id like to mod it as is completely standard. I injured my fretting hand last feb, although it's getting better my girly hands do find the extra thickness a little uncomfortable. Everything else is good though.
  12. That is lovely I've always liked these but never had the chance to have a go unfortunately
  13. Simply, I have a stingray 3eq and love it but I just can't get on with the neck thickness front to back. I also have gas for a PJ configuration bass. Any recommendations for a high end PJ style bass with more of a jazz bass size neck?
  14. I've just bought a fantastic Elite V Jazz bass from Michael. Super fast shipping - lightening quick really considering it came all the way from Ireland. The bass is exactly as described and is simply stunning. Great comms and a pleasure to deal with. Recommended seller +++++
