1.
My, Oh, My Oh, My!!!!!!!!! That is a sweet toaster!! Very Nice. A Very Fair Price, indeed. If someone has the desire/sense to go for this - looks like a cracker. Shame you have to move it. [s]I have several Medium Scale, perhaps we could do a de. . . . .[/s] No - Must resist. Cheers.
Aren't you supposed to be thinning your collection?!
2. Do the gauges work in the same way? Would 45 flats have the same tension as 45 rounds?
3. What's the consensus on flats by the way? What are the most widely used ones? I fancy trying some on my Bob Glaub. My preference of rounds are rotosound swing bass 45-105.
4. I think you can use them for anything. It's a personal preference thing. Steve Harris uses them for shredding faces. Others use them for being mellow. It's up to you.
5. I've always fancied an explorer, I reckon that would play sweet but have crap pickups.
6. That's a bargain! Almost wish I hadn't just bought my bob Glaub.

SOLD

What's it like on a strap?
8. Love the duck! I have just got a Bob Glaub which is amazing. Does it have the fralin?
9. Who you calling a berk?
10. I suppose it depends what your using it for.
11. I have a 78 natural toaster too. Cracking bass! Someone's getting a bargain here.
12.
I got my Candy apple red pawn shop mustang today from Navada music in portsmouth, Its the muts nuts. Looks so sexy with my Blood red OBC115 and BH250 (its red too) will get some pics n thoughts up tomoz or sat but for now, take my word its the muts nuts
Pics!
13. The poles generate a field, which obviously is stronger at the pile than a few mm away from it.
14. Yammy.
15. Never really liked slayer, saw them about 10 years ago and was bored, really really bored. And that was 16 year old impetuous me at a metal festival. I don't understand why they get so much hype and have such a hardcore following.
16. I like the lpb looking one. Always had a soft spot for asats.
17.
G A big part of the feel of those basses is the vintage - style very small gauge fretwire they use
Definately agree with that. I don't think it's possible for a pickup to be better than the fralin mine has. What's the neo punch like? Just incase I fancy a slightly different back up to my BG. :0
18. 4 please. You only need 4, worse case scenario you buy 2 of our bass and tune them differently
19.
Yup, the Glaub is also the best Fender I ever played!
This.
20. I'm pretty sure mines packing a fralin. It's a great pickup. It's a great bass
21. Ou7shined?
22. My bob Glaub had its first outing tonight. Absolutely amazed by it! I didn't touch the controls all night so purely by how much I was digging in it was rawcus when I wanted it to be and mellow when I didn't. Is it telepathic? I've never had a more intuitive instrument. It damn near plays itself too. I've always loved P basses but every one I've had, and they have been varied has had something missing or just not quite right about it. This one is incredible. I am going to have to stop myself hoarding Laklands now. DJ4 and JO4 owners look out!
23. Oh and shape wise, I'd go and play all the fender ish shaped basses you can find and make notes on what you like about each shape, then come up with a sort of hybrid.
