1. I don't think so, not on the second hand market anyway, both times I've spent a lot on a bass I've been disappointed. My current stable consists of a Lakland Skyline Bob glaub, 2 old peavey T-40s and an old Ibanez blazer, and all 4 are pretty spot on. The Lakland was the most expensive and that was £550 and it's the best P-bass and maybe even bass in general I've ever owned.
2. The king Fisher has an overwater look about it, and the kestrel reminds me of the Gibson victory
3. My first p bass looked exactly the same as this, it was a monster too. Can't beat a nice P
4. I almost garauntee it's amazing.
5. That's pretty cool. Not my bag at all but Iike it
6. Nah, it's an early Ibanez blazer, I don't do exotic lol, the pot still turns like it should, just doesn't affect the sound at all. If it was stuck full on fo sho I wouldn't bother replacing it because I dont really use it anyway. But now I have to
7. Does it get stuck full on or full off?
8. I really want one of these too! The price is ridiculous.
9. Anyone got or played one? They look amazing for the money. Tone is good too, from YouTube anyway. I like that the neck is apparently bigger than a standard jazz too. I do wish that the input was in the control panel, where it's meant to be too! And that it had a chrome control plate for that matter. Opinions please?
10. I'd be looking for Ibanez and Yamaha. You should be able to pick up a tidy BTB, SR/SRX, or RBX for close to that money.
11. This is lush!
12. I'm wanting a passive graft j at the moment. Value for money is ridiculous.

East p-retro?

Thanks Dave! I see you have a GZR and a fralin too, how do they compare? My other temptation is to swap the Fralin out for a GZR.
What do you want it to do that you can't already get from the tone controls on your amp?
To be honest I'm just wondering if it will make my Bob glaub any more awesome than it already is or take away from the awesome that I have. I currently run a sans amp BDDI, but that's mostly for dirt and garaunteeing a good DI sound, rather than tone shaping. It's probably gonna be a waste of money/time as I'm not a fan of activeness anyway.
15. Anyone got one? Pros and cons? I love the tone of my Bob Glaub as it is so what would a p retro add and/or take away?
16. I would agree with discreet, but then again what harm could a pickup upgrade do? Also welcome to the forum!
17. What's the output like on this? Would you call it hot?
18. Bump for the wonky Pino
19. Lovely bass! Wish I could afford
