2. Might have a look at some stuff aimed at fishermen, they have loads of different sized bags available and sometimes quite cheap too. Had a look around PC World and Currys tonight, but couldn't find anything really suitable.
3.
I was sent a faulty combo and it took over 3 weeks to get refunded after I returned it. I was pretty p*ssed by the time the money arrived as I emailed them about half a dozen times badgering them for the money that was rightfully mine. Their only defense was their claim that they were under-staffed in the returns dept. This may be true of course and could be the issue that you are running into. Anyway, hope you get dealt with more quickly than I was.
After a replacement rather than a refund as the cabinet was part of an amp/cab bundle deal. Hopefully get it sorted soon.
4. Thanks, as long as I know that this is the norm than I'm happy to wait for them to get back to me.
5. Received my new mini rig on Tuesday of this week, all good except that one of the bolts that go through the side of the cabinet to secure the grill in place is protruding. On closer inspection it looks like the hole in the cabinet has been drilled in slightly the wrong place and somebody has tried to screw the bolt in at an angle and ended up cross threading it meaning it sticks out by about 5mm. I did try to re-seat the bolt but it just ends up in the same place, locked up solid. Anyway, I emailed Thomann on Tuesday night to explain the problem and received a reply the next day asking for photos of the bolt so that they could assess the problem. These were sent to them on Wednesday night and that's the last I've heard. I sent an email at lunchtime today asking if they had an update for me, but have still heard nothing. Going on previous threads, I was led to believe that Thomann's customer service was pretty sh*t hot, so just wondering if I should have heard something by now, or whether I'm just being a bit paranoid that they may be avoiding answering me. What do you guys think?
6. These look pretty good if you can find somewhere that has them in stock. http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Gig_Skinz_Gig_Bags.html
7. Cheers, I've robbed the lead that came with my new PC monitor and that's fitted with a 5A so I'm good to go (as soon as Thomann sort out the dodgy cabinet they sent:[)
8. A M bought my Zoom multi f/x. Top guy to deal with. Have fun with the new toy.
9. Just bought one of these amps from Thomann and I need to swap the kettle lead for a UK one. Only thing is, I'm not sure what size fuse needs to be fitted to the plug. Is there any chance that somebody who owns one of these could have a quick check for me? Cheers Rob
10.
Yep, always been great for me too, just ordered an amp from them last wednesday, it showed up on friday morning. Pretty good I'd say. Sorry you didn't post this thread last week, i could have sent it on to you for peanuts mate.
There's a thought OP. Would it be worth me adding it to my order then posting it on to you?
11. This is gorgeous, but the only things I have to trade are my Squier Jazz and my Spector NS94. Just out of interest, where are you located?
12.
Would just like to say that I've had a couple of dealings with Thomann and both have ended up in tears! I wouldn't buy from them even if they were offering 'buy one get one free'
Just out of interest, could you elaborate on this as I'm about to place an order with them (Sorry OP, I'm down in Somerset and won't be heading your way till August).
13. Just noticed that PMT have this available on pre-order at the previously quoted new price of £229(white only). Not sure if they would honour this price, but may be worth a punt if you were going to buy one at the new, higher price anyway. http://www.pmtonline.co.uk/index.php/sterling-by-music-man-sub-series-ray-in-white.html
14.
Any idea what a Sub silo 3 is? Cos they have appeared on Anderton's as well, no idea what it is though... http://www.andertons...oard.asp#page-1
I believe they are the six string versions (guitar, not bass).
15.
The line out is to connect to a line level input on another amp or mixer. Say a power amp or an active cab. Its not to connect to the instrument level input on another amp. Line level and instrument/mic level are different voltage. Line level is what you get out of an amp after the signal has been amplified by the pre-amp.
This was what i was after. It has all become clear.
16.
I think you're getting your terminology confused. A combo is an amp and speaker combined - you 'could' connect that to a line out socket and it'd work. You were talking about adding another speaker, a speaker is just a speaker and that won't work if you connect it to a line out socket.
No, I understand all that, i was just confused by post #3.
17. OK, I'm confused now as the post above says that the line out is to link to another amp or mixer.
18. I've been looking at getting one of these, looks perfect for what I want. If in the future i wanted to a more, could i get a second one and go from the line out of the first one to the regular input of the second one to run a second cab. Sorry if it's a bit of a numpty question, but i'm a bit clueless when it comes to amps.
19. "Mustang Sally.......I'll just ask the lads!"
20.
"unable to identify it's playability" what does that mean? ????????????????
Probably means that they don't have an amp to check it works ok.

22. Great multi fx unit in good fully working condition. Comes boxed with all paperwork, cables and cubase cd (windows XP or Mac OS X 10.2 or higher). This originally came from Thomann in Germany, so the power unit is of the two pin euro type but i have included the uk adapter i have been using with no problems for the last two years. Full spec can be found here http://www.zoom.co.j.../b21u/index.php Looking for £45 inc postage Pics to follow
