4. I have my eye on something, so i need this gone quickly. Huge Price Drop, now £750 Price wont go lower than this. Heres a few pictures of the heads: Looks good lit up when your gigging In my opinion this is professional level gear. And its in mint condition. Hardly a blemish on it. So many options on it, i wouldn't know where to start to explain. There are some good demo videos of it done by Marcus Miller on youtube. Have a look here: https://www.youtube....h?v=eHOjZbkYsO0 Here is the link to the SWR Spec page. I tried to copy the table, but was having trouble http://www.swrsound....ller-preamp.php This will be sold with the gator rack case it currently sits in. It doesn't have the footswitch. I think i have reflected that in the price. Weighs about 19kg. This is only a estimate on the bathroom scales. I wont split it. Its a cracking sounding unit as it is. I am looking to replace this with the Aguilar Tonehammer 500, and a pair of SL 112s, so those are the only trades id consider, with cash my way, depending on what you have i suppose. All questions welcomed, as are any trials. Cheers Kert
5. PRICE DROP £400 for 112 £425 for 210 All trials welcomed and preferred so you can hear how good these are
6. Have you got any recording gear? Garage band?Pro Tools? A Line 6 pod of some kind? If not, then one way of doing it, that is probably most accessible, is to actually film yourself on your phone. I know this isnt ideal, as the speakers wont carry the full spectrum of sound, but like has been said, its only going to sound like your rig anyway. Maybe if he just wants to hear it in action, this will do?
7. Yeh you seem to have handled it well. A lot calmer than i could've managed. Good work. If i ever need to chuck someone from our band, do you take cheques?
8.
I'm wondering what's going to happen when you notice that someone stuck all the tuners on the same side of your headstock - not really balanced that is it?
So cruel
9. Cant comment on the tonehammer, but ive had that set up with a LMII and it was fantastic. Punchy, warm and lightweight.Cant go wrong. Love the VPL and VPF filters too
10. Looks amazing. Congrats!!
11. I have a fretless jazz Farida. Bloody Lurrrrrrvly
12. Bump Trades will be considered
13. 2 sets of 45 mins/60 mins £250-£300 We will do it cheaper if its a place we havent played before, in the hope we pick up more work from it
14. This is a lot of amp for the price. Anyone who gets this will be very happy
15.
I paid a little over 2K. For me that's expensive. Blue
Expensive for most i would guess Blue. Lovely looking bass though
16. I have a Warwick streamer from the 80s, this is my most expensive bass, and the one I use the least. It is a better bass than the 2 I swap between, but like people have said, mr punter off of the street ain't going to notice thie difference between it and the 2 I use. I switch between a limelight p, which isn't cheap I grant you. The other I'm using is a Squier Silver Series jazz. Great bass. Sounds good. Not an issue for me to gig either of these and I don't have to worry about damaging them, like I would with the Warwick. If it feels good to you, and comes through the mix, play it.
17.
Quickly slide up, very quickly, to the root, works a treat

That's actually a far more persuasive argument, especially to those of us whose playing has "plateau'd". I have a (depressingly small) arsenal of licks I can drop into a bassline, and I've always wanted to be able to chuck new stuff in on the fly - yes, but what if it doesn't fit?
Or say it was a just a chromatic jazzy passing note you were playing
18.
So I'm not the only borderline OCD regarding rig asthetics
I have a Berg HD112 and a HD210. I run them with a SWR MM Pre in a Gator rack case, and it kills me that the rack case doesnt fit on top neatly. Theres a overhang on all four sides. I really dont want to swap any of them, but it drives me insane.
19. Rikki, another +1 for Jon. Well worth the time and effort to get up to him. I would definitely say to give a bass teacher a swerve if they say they are a guitarist who can play bass. Go up for one lesson. Dont commit, and just see how it goes. I can guarantee you'll be back up though
20. Well i wouldnt say your missing the point. It just depends what you want from your playing. Learning and practicing scales will give you ideas on what will sound good in different contexts. If you hear a run in a song your trying to work out... If you understand scales, and you know what key your in, itll usually be easier to work the little runs out. I played bass for 8 years before i ever had a lesson. I thought i was a good enough bassist. I had a lesson, started the road of learning theory and it was like a whole new world opened up to me musically. I think there is a big difference to learning scales on your own, and being taught scales with a teacher mind. They will be able to point out why what your doing is useful etc
21. Id agree with most others on here. Walk away. Especially if its now got to the point where your girlfriend is getting upset. I understand what your saying about honouring your gigs. That shows your character that your willing to persevere with something you dont enjoy, to avoid dropping your old band in it. But when it gets to the point that your girlfriend, who seems to have done nothing but support you, is getting grief..... walk. And tell the singer why. Be truthful about it all. Even if they wont be happy with it, at least they'll know the reasons why
22. I am not planning on selling both. I love the sound of them. I'd ideally like to swap the HD112 for a HD210 plus a little cash from me, and then have 2 210s. Or I'd go the other way and end up with 2 112s Both cabs are in excellent condition, and come with a roqsolid cover I can provide pictures, but like I said, they're in excellent condition
23. I don't know if anyone else's did, but mine didn't. Had a spare one, so I didn't mind
24. I use photobucket. Then you copy the link next to the picture you plan to upload, paste it on here, and you're done. Im sure there are other ways, but this should be a pretty easy option for you
25. Never played through a Schroeder. With all the good reviews on them, i think ill make an effort to find one. Glad its worked out for you though
