1.
It seems it's an amateur thing, thinking it's unprofessional to have stands and music on stage.
I agree with this. If given the choice to hear every song as it should be played, or having people busk their way through songs they aren't 100% comfortable with, i'm fine with a band using stands. I dont ever recall someone saying "That was a great night. The band were sounding awesome. I must say though, that music stand was off-putting. Really spoiled my night" Saying all this, i dont use a music stand. Never have. I prefer to learn the songs, so i dont have to be worried about whether i can see the sheets etc. I enjoy the gigs more this way.
2. Mine have arrived. How did you guys fit them? I dont fancy drilling into the neck of my 87 NT streamer myself!!
3. Congrats. Gorgeous looking bass, and i'm sure it sounds as good as it looks!
4.
I'm just going to have fun and pick up as much as I can.
Good way to go about things. Having fun with it should keep you motivated to keep playing, and that's when you'll improve
5. Hi Mike Welcome to the forum! Avoid the Marketplace unless you want to add to your collection Kert
6. The problem i have with our drummer isn't his timing. Hes pretty spot on to be fair. My gripe is that he plays fills when we are gigging that he has never played before. And they're usually quite fancy syncopations, that throw me off when i'm not expecting them. Thats when i start giving him the death stare. I wouldnt mind how offbeat his rudiments were, aslong as he did them in practice so i at least have an idea whats coming up!
7. Ive got a set, having second thoughts about fitting them myself :-/
8.
That's what I'd do (I had to pick up my bass to fin that out, mind) - nowt to it, really.
Yup, that's how i do it too.
9. Its a good pairing. The 112 is extremely responsive and articulate with its sound, even in the lower register. Stupidly loud for a single 12. The GB 6.0 can go from warm, round full sound, then turn up your gain and dig in and it can get quite gritty.
10. Looks great! Never played a Spector, but always admired them from a distance. Saying that though, i do have a streamer which is basically a Spector knock off, so i'm sure it plays fantastic too!
11. Scotty....? I'll get my coat

15.
Everyone I know plays it in E.
Yup, thats what we do
16. Ordered mine from EvilBay yesterday. The seller messaged me to say thank you, and that the package had already been dispatched and should be with me within two weeks. Happy days
17. Macassar gets my vote. Love it.
18. I have recently acquired a Warwick Thumb NT. So I will probably be swapping between that, and my 89 streamer. So I have a silver series squire jazz, and a Farida fretless that don't get used. Don't think I'll move the fretless on as it's a lovely bass, and nice to know I have the fretless option to hand. I could swap the silver series for something, but I wouldn't know what..... Don't think I'd get anything anywhere near as good for the money it's worth
19. Absolute bargain of a rig type bump
20. So, heres the deal, if everyone can help me sell my Bergs, I can get me some S112s and then join your club. Pleeeeeeease
21. Mikko just bought my limelight. We have been in constant contact throughout. The whole deal was very easy!! Thanks bud, hope you enjoy the bass!!
