1. Ooooooo it does look nice with that black one. Yeh Karlfer, im not a fan of tort either. I know i go against the trend on that front, but.......what can i say?!?! Think the Gold anodised is looking favorite. Anyone on here making them to fit now?
2. Does anyone on here still make them to order?
3. Haha no i'm not that easily offended!
4.
that white is just a bit too white IMO
This is my thoughts on it.
Good that no-one's mentioned the 'T'-word yet - but pearl of any sort is an abomination! Though I suppose it's OK if you want your bass to look like a tart's handbag.
Hahaha get some leopard skin print on the strap and i'll be sorted! I was thinking mint or gold. Im not great at visualising things like that though
5. So i have this on the way: I love the colour of the bass. But i dont know what to do with the pickguard. Any ideas/suggestions for colour?
6. The most popular one i get is "Can you slap the bass?" I get it at least once a gig. Ive learnt to just say "yes" and move onto the next song.
7. Niiiiiice
8. Audition obviously went well, so congrats for that! Wasn't for you? No issue. Got the experience of this one under your belt, ready for your next one
9. Tis coming back to South Wales
10. Billy Jean. Very easy to play the main riff. But it's so repetitive that it fatigues your fretting hand quickly. Its ok now as ive got used to it, but i remember i found it hard to finish the song when i first started playing it. I also think that playing it accurately, and stopping the notes rather than letting them ring through can be quite tricky at the start.
11. BUMP Had a few questions.... Yes i will trade. But only for something of a lower value, i need to release some cash. I will entertain trade offers of things other than Precisions, but a Precision is my first choice Thanks
12. Good choice
13.
A musician might notice, a non musician in the audience doesn't even know that your playing bass. Blue
Totally agree. Where we are concerned about the bass we are playing, the cabs we use, the amp, effects etc, all the audience care about is hearing the song IMO If they can hear the singer, and they can make out the hook, they are happy. Ive played in bands before that were absolutely awful. I can look back and see this now, but we ALWAYS went down well, and were booked up a year in advance because our singer was brilliant.
14. Still for sale at the moment
15. BUMP for a gorgeous bass. Any P Basses out there??
16. Ive tried to post a photo of them but when i copy the link, they come up on here rotated, even though they arent in Photobucket. No idea why, but ill try and sort it later
17. After having a solid 3 hour practice last night, i am extremely happy with the cabs. Neither of mine have the tweeter, and i'm fine with that. For the sound i want, i dont feel they need them. They sit in the mix so well, and i feel they react to the dynamics in my playing better than anything ive previously used. They sounded warm, articulate and punchy. But when i put a bit more gain into the signal, they handled that grind with ease. My one negative would be that it didnt cut through the mix playing slap. Now i only play slap in 3 songs in the set (Treasure, bits of Virtual Insanity and bits of Uptown Funk), and im well aware that with a bit of EQ'ing they could of done the job easily, but it will need tweaking to hear it out front. Out of the mix, slap sounds great through the S112s, so i will have to find out what works in the mix. I'm sure that will come with a few more hours of playing. Overall I'm a very very very happy boy
18. My speakers have arrived. I have a full practice tonight, so I'll let you know how they sound tomorrow
19. Price dropped to £1250. With trade options added.
20. This is similar to mine, but mine is 87. They are brilliant basses. I'll never sell mine. Whoever gets this will love it.
21. Congrats!! I take my wedding ring off when i play. It doesnt really effect anything though, it's just what i'm used to.
22. It has a great tube preamp section that goes from warm to grindy with ease. The signal shaping presets are useful for getting selected tones at the click of a button. It's been my backup amp, but has never failed me any time it's been called upon! In excellent condition. Small scrape on the top of the amp, about 2 inches long. Has no effect on the sound, and i can take a picture of it if it concerns you. Any questions, please ask
