I was really impressed. I thought his playing and singing was really tasteful. Maybe i was more impressed because i originally thought he was awful?! Im not on about when he was using that red plastic thing though!!haha. Cant remember the particular song, but he was singing and playing it to the other two.

Put this on to watch last night and it was really enjoyable. Jack White, the Edge and Jimmi Page talking about what got them into the guitar, and what they were thinking when trying to get certain sounds in their records etc. I didnt have much interest in Jack White before this. Just thought it was kind of a gimmicky pop act when he was with the White Stripes. He's actually a really talented blues guitarist, and has a really good blues voice. Like the oldest type of blues. His favorite ever song, which he compared the sound he was trying to get, was a "Son House" song called "grinning in your face". Suddenly everything made more sense! Brilliant interview with Jimmi Page was shown , from when he was in school. He was playing in a skiffle band on tv and afterwards the presenter asked him if he wanted to carry on being a skiffle player, when he got older. "no sir, i want to be a biological scientist". Brilliant. Anyone see it? Highly recommended.

Ive got an '87 streamer. Its an amazing bass. My favorite ive ever had. Think Jon C was a fan too. Although i would quite happily swap for his Sei. Would like to compare it to one of the MiK ones though. Mr Fretbuzz, any chance you could bring it to the south wales bass bash?

With us, the money we get from the gig is split evenly. Every time. If the band need something (PA,lighting,van etc), then we take a percentage, say £10 or £20 from each pay, to save up for whatever needs sorting. I agree with everyone here, personal costs (strings,plectrums etc) should be paid for by the person needing them, not split between the band.

If you had the choice again Lozz, what would you opt for?

Yeh i have a mate who has the MB800, and it sounds great. I just want to find out if theres enough "extra" in the fusion version, to warrant the extra money. We shall see......

So...Im looking at the GK heads. Ive settled on the MB800. But i dont know whether to pay the extra £200 odd to get the MB800 fusion. Whats the difference? I know the fusion has a 3 tube pre amp, but whats the difference in sound/playability/use? Whats your experiences? Worth the extra? Cheers
