  1. As a new Sandberg owner I had no idea it was intentional. A nice wee bonus.
  2. Just noticed today that a Schaller strap lock fits very nicely onto the standard Sandberg strap button on my California II TT4. Is this coincidence I ask myself?
  3. Weather at last improved enough to let me get some pics of my newly acquired California II TT4.
  4. This is a remarkable price for this bass. I have two precisions already otherwise I would be very interested. If this doesn’t sell at this price then we might as well forget this forum as a place to sell.

    Dilemma!

Definitely go for the Fender. Also, if you ever plan on selling the bass then the Fender is far more marketable than the Shuker.
  6. Many thanks for this. I’ll have a look at these.
  7. A strat/tele case?
  8. Thanks for the reply. I will post pics in due course. I take my pics outside and the weather hasn’t been great. Watch this space.👍
  9. I have just taken delivery of a Sandberg California II TT4. Does anyone know of a hardcase that is a good fit?
  10. I would also guard against using parcel2go. I was expecting a bass to come on next day delivery but, despite this service being paid for, it wasn’t delivered until late the day after it was meant to arrive. I couldn’t contact parcel2go as they do not display contact details. I will not use them again.
  11. What I don't understand is why pay parcelforce for 24HR delivery when they take 48HR. If I pay for 48HR will they deliver on time or will it take 72HRs. I might as well pay for 48HR and hope for the best.
  12. What an absolute beauty. 82-85 Fenders are superb. Someone is going to be very happy.
  13. F plate or not that looks a very tasty bass. GLWTS!
  14. I am in Aberdeen.
  15. Thanks for that man. I knew there must be a simple answer.
  16. I am interested to see that posts can be bumped without having to post a Bump or TTT post. Posts seem to get to the top but the last post which can be days old is the latest post. Can someone tell me how this is done please.
  17. Up for sale is my Limelight '57' Precision. The colour is faded Candy Apple Red as appropriate to a '57' which has been around for sixty years. This is the lightest relic job that Limelight has done and it is extremely pretty. All hardware is age appropriate with the pickups being wound by Limelight themselves to replicate a '57' sound. A bonus with this sale is a G&G Fender tweed case which is in excellent condition. The bass is strung with a new set of Thomastik TI flatwounds. This bass plays and sounds superb and will make someone very happy. I offered this bass for sale a couple of months ago but then withdrew it as it was pointed out to me that the neck could do with a tweak to bring it into alignment. That has now been done and so the bass is up for sale again. Price includes shipping to UK mainland. Trades considered. Limelight 1957 Precision Bass Candy Apple Red over silver/white Hand rolled finger board Black dots Ultra Light relic – as per pictures Maple P width neck Gold annodised scratchplate Period correct 1957 Fender Precision logo Thumb rest below strings. 18. I have the A4 Artisan SP which has the Bartolini MK 4 pickups. It is a beautiful bass and definitely worth its price tag.
  19. I have done quite a lot of business with classic and cool. Mark is a true gent and very easy to deal with. Prices are more than you would expect to pay here which is understandable as Mark is running a business. Trade deals can be good depending on what you are trading. All in all it is well worth contacting Mark and having a chat with him. Classic and Cool is also the home of Limelight basses.
  20. I also remember the 70s basses which were well avoided at the time. However, I begin to wonder if we just find the right bass for us whenever it comes along. It could be a Squier or it could be a CS. There seems to be an element within each individual bass which appeals to some and not others. I have two precisions which, barring financial difficulty, will always be in my arsenal. I also have a Cort Artisan which I once tried to sell as I fancied something else. The sale fell through which was lucky for me as I still have the bass and it has become part of the permanent stable along with the two precisions. Others have come and gone and not just Fenders. One of these was a CS Masterbuilt job which just didn't inspire and was eventually moved on. Who knows what it is that makes a bass just right for us. That is the magic of playing bass!
  21. I was indeed the previous and original owner of this SUB4 and it is a very nice example. There are always a few basses that we regret selling and this is one of mine. I've just purchased a bass otherwise I would be very sorely tempted.
  22. Bought a very nice Ibanez Fretless from Russ. A really great guy with whom it was a pleasure to do business. Many thanks!
  23. Are you absolutely certain that these are Seymour Duncan pups? They look awfully like Dimarzio P & J pups.
  24. Cherish these stores my friends. I live in a wasteland for music stores and am hugely envious when I read on here about the good experiences you all have. I try to organise holiday destinations to take in some stores but I think my wife is catching on!😄
