  1. I think the answer is no, but with the HX Stomp, anyone know if it’s possible to have one patch with the 3rd footswitch as an effect switch, then switch to another patch where the 3rd footswitch changes to the tuner? Cheers Si
  2. SOLD I have a spare set of Bart MK-1 soapbars and the MK-1 3band Preamp, these came from a Lakland 55-01 when it was upgraded. £60 for everything including shipping. These are for a 5 string bass. Please note that I do not have a wiring diagram, so whilst 90% of it is pre-wired, I had to cut some grounds and obviously disconnect the pickups from the Pre. So you'll either need some decent electronics knowledge to know what goes where, find a wiring diagram for yourself (Bartolini might be able to help), or take to a tech obviously. Everything is included, pickups, preamp, pots, input jack etc. Can take more photos if you like, but not much to see. The pickups are in good condition, some finger marks as you'd expect. Everything in working order (ie was working perfectly when before they exited the bass) Cheers Si
  3. First gig back tomorrow! Pretty low pressure, but still.....from someone who used to gig, at the minimum, once a week....I'm a bit anxious haha. Excited too though!

@LukeFRC This will be my Elrick NJS5 on it's first outing! Excited for that!

  4. Slightly off-topic, but how do you find the Talman shortie 5? Si
  5. I'm not sure I'm afraid, I don't want to continue asking him about it tbh, when he's ready, he's ready I think. I still see him posting frequently on his personal Facebook, so I imagine all is as well as it can be. Cheers Si
  6. Echoing what has been said, my direct experience of bitsa's is that, if you ever sell it, you'll get back way less than you spent on it. Parting it out will reduce that deficit usually, assuming you bought the parts second-hand. Si
  7. Hi, what’s the weight please? Si
  8. Sibob

    Looper pedals.?

Popping this in Effects, as you'll likely get more hits Si
  9. 11 hole white pickguard, not in the best condition, but perfectly fine and would clean up. Couple or quid on PayPal for postage and free to a good home Si
  10. I'll knock off £30 if you don't want the strings (ie you buy it unstrung) Si
  11. Although added a heap of weight haha. Look great though! Si
  12. Tough choice there! Maybe split the difference and go for a G&L SB-2, best of both worlds! Si

Argh, are you UK based? Si
  15. Very nice!! Si
  16. I've got one of their P necks on the bitsa I'm selling and it's really good. Nice maple, really nice Rosewood, solid, holds it's setup. Great Si
  17. Why don’t you just send the mix-engineers you know to this thread? That way, they can learn, and you can do less work. 😉 Si
  18. Reduction to £900 Si
  19. Reduction to £775 Si
  20. Ask Carey on socials? He’s pretty active on Instagram Si
  21. But if you don’t know how the rest of the mix is being set up by the mix-engineer....how do you know what needs ‘fixing’. Their ability is redundant at this point, the point is not to second-guess what you think they want from the bass....THEY might not even know at this point, as nothing else is mixed yet either. Si
  22. In my opinion as someone who has done a fair amount of remote recording, the less you do to the stem, the better. Unless there is a specific part of the brief that says 'make it sound like an SVT', I'd be recording DI (as you are), and letting whoever is mixing the piece do whatever they need to, whether that's re-amping it, or using an amp/cab-sim on your track. To me, there's little point in mixing a great bass tone, only to then send that to the mix-engineer and it not fit well in their mix. Si
  23. You sound surprised lol I’ve owned a couple of BB’s before, 614’s and 615’s. Si
  24. Decided to do a little Google of 1983 BB’s (because it’s a solid birth-year bass), and this wonderful BB3000 popped up, was for sale here for a bit! Would like like an ‘83 BB3000 to fill that BB/birth-year hole in my life haha Si
