1. Agreed Good luck with the sale though, it looks great! Si
2.
You'll be fine, the hardest thing is remembering where you were the day before. Jennifer
+1 Like you wouldn't believe!!! Toured for a month this past May, played nearly everynight, 26 gigs or something. My fingers were fine, no problems at all but ask me where i'd played the night before and i wouldn't have had a clue! lol I don't get problems with my fretting fingers, sometimes i have slight issues with my right hand fingers but thats not because of the roundwounds, its because a couple of the polepieces on my Jazz bass are a bit sharp, lucky my touring basses were fitted with Barts! Si
3. By this i can tell that your rig is mostly made up of 8" and 10" drivers Si
4. If you also look at his feedback, he also seems to have sold a few of the bits from the '76, like the Neck plate etc So either all the bits on this Mustang aren't original, or he somehow has two '76 Mustangs Si

6. Anything smaller bodied, like the Corvette Josh took off of me. Sounded and played brilliantly, but just kinda felt like a toy in size, especially when sat down. Considering my other basses are a Stingray and 2 Jazz's, i definitely lean towards the slightly larger bodied instruments. Having said that, Ricken'knackers' have never visually or sonically 'fit' with me, i don't understand them lol Si p.s. Rodders: Try a few, my USA Standard jazz is lovely sounding and feeling, but i to have played some real dogs. Quite often its down to the shop letting them deteriorate, especially if they have air-con, mashes up the necks

9. What a really nice example! To many strings for me I saw a 4 in perfect nick go for £895 from a shop on Ebay, but that was a newer model (2000's) I reckon, rough estimate £650ish !? Good luck Si

13. Ah the epitome of good taste! Si
14. Just made a couple of small edits to the above if you wanna read it again quickly Good luck Si
15. If you're on the covers circuit, a lot of the chain pubs and larger places will only book through agents, and its strictly covers. Obviously for pubs booking entertainment themselves its a different ballgame, so ask them directly. With regards to original music, most venues will either have inhouse promotions, or will have a number of promoters in the area that put events on there. So take the Barfly in Camden for example, as far as i know, it (or any barflys) doesn't have inhouse promotions, they deal with external promoters. One example who put nights on at the Camden Barfly is 'KBY Rocks', affiliated with Rocksound magazine. I've played a loada gigs with them, and they're great. Note that this is Original Music only!! Just look up promotion companies on Myspace!!! Si p.s. oh and usually, i would suggest that all promoters of live entertainment will want to hear a recording of you, unless perhaps if you get recommended by someone else, but even then it wouldn't surprise me if they asked for a recording

19. tihS man, sorry to hear that! I'm sure everyone will keep they're eyes peeled!.......................thats a gross saying!! Si
20. Its not that I'm not persevering with the fretless My Shuker EUB takes care of that! Its my project P-bass and i fancy it being fretted now, its been fretless for a good 5 years, so deserves a change. Si
21. I have the Headrush E2, great fun What i would say about using it in a band context is make sure that the Drummer can hear the loop loud and clear so he can stay in time with it. The Akai has a tiny tiny time glitch when it reloops round, which basically means if you were to play along with a drum machine (which has perfect time), it would go out of time pretty quickly. It isn't like the newer midi loopers that can quantise the loops. I just use mine for solo playing, which works fine because you're just looping with yourself, nothing to go out of time with. Si
22. Just give Mike over at The Bass Merchant in Witham, Essex a ring. Nice guys, Mike did all the electronics work/modding on my Thingray, and thats awesome! I've never tried a Zoot but i hear good things, if the preamp is anything like the one he put in my bass, then it sounds fantastic Si p.s. I to have no affiliation to Zoot or the Bass merchant other then I've had some work done there.............and i used to live in essex
23. 1 Main Bass, 2 for FSOF 1 Spare Bass regardless 1 Amp Head 1 Cab for smaller venues, 2 for larger venues or FSOF gigs 1 Boss TU-2 Tuner 1 Aphex Compressor DI box which i use, but could also double as a backup to my head as i always go through the PA 1 Set spare strings Tools, Fuses, Batteries etc 1 Set of ear plugs 1 Spare set of plugs Thats about it i think Si
24. Who cares, we're not there to be on camera, we're there to play bass! In any case, its about performance!! Most of those bass players were session guys who don't move around much, or Indie bass players who...........don't move around much. You take the guys who are fun to watch....flea as a random example, they're on camera all the time. Si
25. I would never attempt it myself, absolutely no woodwork/craft skills at all, and accepted that a long time ago lol Thanks for the links though. Si
