Best Delay I've heard is my guitarist's Boss DM-2......yeah good luck finding a cheap one (he was given his lol) But the new DD-7 has a model of it apparently Si
2. Great pedal, love mine Great price too, good luck Si
3.
Pm'd
What you after here Dave? As this hasn't been updated, I've had the Slow Gear off Max Si
4.
.. that this quest for the perfect bass bullshit, is BULLSHIT! Being on basschat has somewhat corrupted my thinking, that I need a bass that's perfect for me. I don't. I need a good bass, good strings, and my brain. That is all. I've been playing, not talking, and I have found out that all I need is a decent bass. There is little difference between any of the basses I have had, only practical things. Playing and thinking about music has shown me that any decent bass will do. I've talked about bass far too long. When you actually PLAY, you start getting a more real connection with yourself, and the instrument itself becomes less and less important. Your LIFE is what is important. Live it and you will speak though your bass.
Mate...you should have asked....coulda told you this ages ago Si
5. Our setup is (venue dependant): Full PA, 2x bins, 2x tops etc, fully mic'd kit, 4 vocals, guitar backline mic'd, bass backline DI'd, lights etc. Normally takes us about an hour chilled setup, but we've done it as fast as 40mins when pushed, thats loading from the van to ready-to-play. Everyone knows their job and what needs doing. We do a lot of gigs, so we're simply well practised. We never soundcheck either, we just know our sound, our gear and what is needed. Quickest setup we've done was a rushed stripped down setup, no bins/drum mics/DI's etc, and that was 20mins from arriving in van to playing first song lol Si
6. +1 for OBBM This could go on for a while! lol Si
7. Man....I just want a decent overdrive....that is 9v lol Si
8. I use Copilot FX Orbit, swapped out my silver Big Muff for it. Its pretty amazing, standard Fuzz sounds with adjustable gate & ring-mod sections. I had mine built with a blend control, so I still have all my clean signal going through with the effect....perfect Si
9.
I'm bummed that they don't still make the Rumblefish or the Brad Houser model anymore.
Me too man, would love a Rumblefish, pretty rare now though Si
10. Had two Japanese Boss pedals off Rich, exact condition that he described, great prices, very fast delivery, great packaging, great comms. What more could you want? Cheers bud Si
11. GMR are a polish custom shop....they're opening a shop with this Daniel guy in Denmark street? Si
12.
Bugger it, booked my flights for my trip to Finland last night and have now just realised I'm gonna miss this by a day, which is fairly gutting. I think in lieu of this I'm going to instigate a London Bass pint night perhaps for sometime soon, let me know if anyone would be interested in a general social gathering in some central London pub!
Talk to HappyJack or Clarky, this happens fairly regularly (well compared to the bashes lol) Si
13. Yup, definitly a false economy here, would be very difficult to keep it even with a live drummer....and you'd constatly be foot tapping. Practice playing Si
14. Good luck with the sale Tom. Have you tried any short scale basses? Si
15. Fancy doing a video? I'm keen Si
16. I've never found the ABM lacking, the Orange was just louder. I say was, because its now a bit 'quieter' (comparatively) due to the lower-gain tubes I installed, but it still marginaly beats the ABM. Just means I have to turn the ABM a bit louder, no biggy. That's when it gets used of course....more of a recording amp now as thats where it seems to beat the Orange, didn't like the Terror on recordings. Si

18. i have to say that I generally concur with Bigwan here. The reason I went for the Terror is because, after borrowing one for a few gigs, I found its 'flat' sound very similar (not exactly the same) to the Ashdown with the settings I used....again, more valve than not, mostly flat with a touch of mid. The Ashdowns generally tone is a little rounder and a bit more 'complex' sounding, but then in the Mix you don't really notice. The Orange is famously weak in the EQ section, but then the Flat sound is great to my ears, so I don't care. It is VERY loud for what it is, but having said that, the hi-gain stock tubes mean that it can run into light overdrive fairly easily (no bad thing if you like a bit of grind), but it renders the DI out useless. I, along with many others here, changed the tubes for slightly lower gain ones to give more useable clean volume.....for me though, it didn't really fix the rediculously high output on the DI. I'm not fussed about the DI issue as I'll generally use a Sansamp if I'm DI'ing. All in all, they compliment each other really well I think, if you're doing a small gig and don't wanna lug the Ashdown out, the Orange won't disappoint Si
19. I've got both, just off to work now, but I'll write a bit about them later. Si
20. Ooooof, simply amazing gig! Words can't describe! Man I hope they do a live album!! Si
21. I'm going TONIGHT...anyone else going? Si
22. It doesn't bother me too much, as soon as those sellers realise that regular contributors find it easier to sell their gear, the better lol Si
23. They don't look as cool as the old Reverend basses, they're getting pretty rare now! Si
24. Eeek, looking into tickets now Will have to be tomorrow though Si
25. Yes please post a price asap as per the rules! Cheers Si
