Yes & Genesis

You are fired! I want your gig . Seriously though, just so jealous especially Roundabout, great work. Oh well, back to Bad Co, AC/DC for me. Thanks for sharing (I think). Karl.
2. Annoyingly for personal reasons I have had to bail on this one before I got the chance to buy. Thanks for such a prompt reply Chris, very kind. Good luck with the sale, Karl.
3. Glad you are still enjoying the old girl (so to speak ).
4. Too late again!!!! . Asked for 2nd in queue. Karl.
5. The Shads, iconic images from my childhood and very influential. RIP, you will be sadly missed. Karl.
6.
slapper
AAAARGH, not THAT 42!
7. Makes me have dis- loyal selling thoughts about my '75 re-issue. Half heartedly put it up for exchange for a Duck Dunn. It's my 1st bass to look at, but 3rd to pick up and play. Karl.
8. 42.
9.
Many thanks for highlighting this, Id rather deal with basschatters as every deal ive done so far has been very pleasent and painless. there are many fantastic reliable members on this forum who I would prefer to offer a good deal to. unfortunatly the same cannot be said for the ebay!
Too true!
10.
Did you ever have a look under the bridge for the well? It does look like it could cover it, that bridge is just so out of place.
Are you positive this bass is very old? The only reason I ask is that kind of bridge/bridge positioning has appeared on some of the recent/more modern 'Fakers. Some of the old ones (like mine) are pretty much accurate copies, some of the newer ones are more "variation on a theme". Karl.
11. This one's just gone for £720 on the bay making yours a serious bargain. May be worth a punt on t'bay. Good luck, Karl. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...p;#entry1165352
12. Funny what "the market" will pay. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT
13. History now I know, but the "road worn" finish, especially close to where the forearm would be, seems very smooth to me? Karl.
14. 40. Wish I could remember that far back. Karl.
15. Looks stunning, bet it plays and sounds it as well. Jack, presume Far Canal means what I think. That was a coffee/screen moment. Karl.
16. Withdrawn. Putting it under the bed for a couple of years. Karl.
17. I got my Daryll Jones there. Ticket price was £1150, Gary did if for £900 cash. At the same time they had a stunning'72 Jazz in, virtually mint, at £2300, said it would go for £1800. Gary is a top bloke whenever I deal with him. Karl.
18. Bugger, the night you are at the Railway we are gigging in Preston. Will catch you soonish though Justin. PS, keep forgetting BRILLIANT website as well. Cheers, Karl.
19.
It doesn't have to be tinny. Larry Graham's tone is meaty as a hog-roast!
Don't mention Hog Roast. My Mother's here for the weekend and she's vegetarian . Karl. For believers; http://www.promenademusic.co.uk/Jay-Dee-Ja...ed/product/9279
20. I'm not a fan of these, don't know if it's good bad or indifferent. Just in case anybody is interested. Karl. 21. I don't like slap because of the actual tinny sound. Give me John Paul Jones sound any day. One of our guitards was dead impressed by seeing a bassist in a band slap a 10 second solo. He's never impressed with the intro to Doctor Doctor which starts off with me playing part of Jaco's version of Blackbird (the chordal stuff). Still ain't going to slap Mr. Guitard . Actually, there's a thought. Karl.
22. Whilst not knowing the exact model makes this little more than a guess, the most expensive Ibby BTB i could find in a quick search, was £720 new. Karl.
23. After soundcheck, I used to just put mine back in the cases until 5 minutes before going on. Then tune again and hold onto it. Always like to have a guitard between me and punters for bass and goolie protection . Karl.
24. £300 collected £330 delivered in tatty but perfectly usable hard case. Will trade for Highway 1 (or One) Precision, + £50 cash your way. If it survives, finishes on t'bay on Tues. Loads of watchers, no bids. If nothing changes between now and Tuesday, will just put it away for a couple of years. It's very unlikely to go down in value and it certainly looks more like a Rick than most modern 'Fakers. Cheers, Karl.
