  1. Some names there mind! Of those mentioned, back in the day supported White Spirit, Raven, Tygers, Vardis & Venom. More recently gigged/recorded with Troyen who were lumped in this category first time round. Blitzkreig & Tyson Dog were on a couple of those gigs. 'Appy days.
  2. Awful lot of Sandbergs up for sale at the moment? 🤔
  3. @ebenezer Edit. The "blocks" on these models look superb in "real life".
  4. Damn, too far even in "normal" times. Good luck, great sounding amp (& I especially like @wateroftyne 's driven Won't Get Fooled Again).
  5. Jeez, the case is wrong, the models wrong, the meeting up is wrong. I don't need this stinky poo, withdrawn.
  6. No. It's an American Standard. Current updated version is the American Professional 11. They had the S1 feature from approx 2002 - 2008.
  7. Cheers Pete, I always thought it was Hiscox but a couple of other folk have said the same as you, thus I stand corrected. I have gloves, masks & alcohol. I have other bassists near me. I have made collection and courier options. I have 3 brain cells (although one is road worn) and I think I can deal with a local handover thank you very much.
  8. Superb condition S1 series bass 8lb 15oz all original. REASON for sale increasingly arthritic fingers struggling with low F on anything but a Jazz. PRICE is cash collected, no offers at this price, there are Mex and Japans selling for more than this. TRADE similar condition USA Jazz (or perhaps Fender Japan 70's RI or Mex Nate Mendel) with hard case. COURIER possible, you will need to organise & pay. UK only. It may take me a day or so to source a box. Apologies for photos, I couldn't take it outside. Feedback available, keep safe, Karl.
  9. Bugger I've been waiting for one of these to come up for months and missed it 😫! ( I think that's a greetin emoji).
  10. One of the best rigs I had was 2 Markbass Traveler 210's 8ohms, stacked vertically like a PA column. Light, portable, great sound very loud. Then one gig I turned around and noticed 4 yellow cones bouncing back & forward like they were trying to jump out. Kinda made me nervous and never really recovered from it, I knew what they were doing behind my back 😳. They were gone a few gigs later.
  11. Too far away even in lesser travel restrictions.
  12. Ah, the Aycliffe one, I got snarled up & forgot to bid on it. It was only 5 miles from me. Nice uncommon bass Ash, good luck & keep safe.
  13. Gutted I missed that offer, that is a great formatted head.
  14. Mudbucker & P 🙂
  15. I have a bit of fondness for Gibson as I gigged an '84 Explorer for 17 years and it was a fantastic playing & sounding bass. Rose tinted 🙂
  16. I have a feeling that for a year or two at least, little will change with Mesa. Sounds like new Gibson management are on the path of rebuilding reputations & such an iconic brand as Mesa may well be the standard they aspire to on their top line product. Nonetheless I'm rather glad I decided against selling my amp at a daft low price 😁
  17. After being up for 2.5 weeks and nothing but £450/£500 offers, withdrawn. It will be back in the summer at £650. That's all folks 🙂
  18. Massive thanks to @Steve Browning for all his work for us on this matter.
  19. Yeah, I'm going to take it down at the weekend Dave. It's a daft price for one of these. With the UK/EU used gear VAT thing, I think it's fairly inevitable used prices will rise when folk start gigging again this summer, so I'll put it out at £650 then so I'm not losing as much. Cheers guys.
  20. Put the eggnog down Shep 😆😆
  21. Oh dear, I was lusting badly when @artisan had his up. The feeling is still there. Oh dear.
  22. You got that at a great price Mark, he had it up at £950 initially. Only 200 of this American version made, not many escaped the USA. Very tempting to say the least. But I'm sure it's about to be winging its way to Lancaster 😁
  23. Hi guys, I wasn't sure where to put this link. Over the years, I've seen quite a few express interest in 'Arry plates. Now I THINK his are chrome but these look similar. Works out pricey for one plate, with customs charges VAT & shipping. HOWEVER if I ordered 5 any everybody split all costs...........??????? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ANODIZED-ALUMINUM-Pickguard-for-Fender-Precision-P-Bass-Standard-USA-MIM-13-Hole/123532346835?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&var=424176061995&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649
  24. Thanks Steve & congratulations on your recent signature addition 👏
