  1. Top amp & top bloke, GLWTS Dunc.
  2. Lovely amps, great price, top bloke, what more could you ask!
  3. Glorious bass, first year of release, possibly one of the 1st production run of late 2008 in preparation for release of the series at winter NAMM 2009 & subsequent availability. Hmmm, thinks.
  4. Have a bump bonkers one, top fella and one of our own heroes. Good luck & keep safe mate.
  5. Where would Basschat be without gear sluts like us eh? 😁
  6. This is from the original run dated 2008, crafted in China. The same factory & time as the original Classic Vibe 60's which are now changing hands at around £400. Unlike most 50's style basses, this has a modern C profile Precision bass neck and 41.3mm nut, so it's not the usual "baseball bat". Light at 8lb 2oz (Basswood). It has 3 little dimples, pretty good for 12 years old. New D'Addario 40-100's. Basic gig bag included. Sorry, no trades, no offers. A £50 non refundable deposit will hold it for you. If the Sandberg goes first, I keep this one. Collection from Darlington would be great, but I will meet up within 100 miles. THE FIRST picture is a stock image, to show the plate & tugbar. They are not on the bass but will be included. Keep safe, Karl.
  7. A friend wanted my Warwick Dolphin & put this as part trade. He knows I need to sell it on, HOWEVER, IF my Squire Classic Vibe 50's goes first, this will be kept. Fully converted to passive, quote from my friend's original PM. "Sandberg Electra VS4 (P bass) that I have removed all the original fit electronics and installed a Martin Herrick slightly overwound (by about 5%) '58 P bass pickup to the spec used by Steve Harris, this is coupled with the V/T/T passive circuit that Adam Clayton uses in his sig Warwick Streamer CV. This was made by KiOgon for me." V/T/T passive example Apologies for photos, raining yet again. Zero fret & Plek'd, weight 8lb 10oz, nut is 40mm, lovely bass, comes with a basic gigbag. The last photo shows one slight dimple. Somewhere. Will meet up within 100 miles of Darlington Sorry, no trades or offers thanks, the basic version of this sells at £631 although they seem a little scarce at the moment. If you want it on hold I will require a non-refundable £50 deposit (too many vanish/change their mind!!!) Keep safe, Karl
  8. Always a simple, easy pleasure to deal with Alain, he really is one of life's good guys. Everyone who deals with him is a happy camper so until the next time friend, keep safe.
  9. Love this series Precisions & Phil's a top geezer. GLWTS fella.
  10. I'd love to see (and shamelessly use, with permission) the photo of Dave Ellefson 🙂
  11. Ho hum, that's a first. 3 days & not a single trade offer. I'll leave it up for a few more days then may well have a chat with John about passive stack knobs & serial/parallel loom. I've been rehearsing the sets with it the last couple of nights & it's a fine bass. Just I look like a tit with it round my neck 😚
  12. Best get my Dolphin sold then 😆
  13. Hiya Mark. That serial number suggest 2008, think it was still Korean made then (though that might have been '06). Anyway, in those days they had the subtitle Bob Glaub Precision, FABULOUS bass & a great price mate.
  14. Cheers John. Cheers. Those that have them generally speak highly of them. Thanks but I'm not going to throw any more money at it whilst I'm looking to move it on.
  15. Cheers Mark, I'm fairly sure John still has his.
  16. Fantastic basses these, 'av a bump!
  17. Made in Japan for Warwick by MMI (Moridaira Musical Instruments) Morris in 1991. Quite an uncommon bass. Bolt neck, unlike the much more expensive German set neck & neck through versions. Warwick aficionados are generally not a fan of this bass, some considering them not a true Warwick. Active/passive vol (push/pull), pick up pan, bass/treble boost/cut. This bass is cosmetically battered, with some paintwork filled in, especially along the bottom edges. A lot of dents & dinks, It's been gigged a lot. Can't see that from a few feet away. A previous owner (I think there's only been three & one of them twice for a good number of years) has put a Pro 1 truss rod cover on. It's not a Pro 1 (you'd be looking at well over another grand!) Plays beautifully, surprisingly well balanced, great rock bass. Quite light at 8lb 10oz. Comes with slightly battered hard case, Warwick bits pack, leather strap & strap locks. TRADES. Sandberg with a Precision style pickup Fender Player Series Precision US Standard Precision. CASH either way, but please remember, Player Series actually sell used at around £450. Apologies for photos, raining. Again. Feedback linked at bottom of post. Meet half way or collection, sorry don't have a box to courier. Cheers, Karl.
  18. James was simply a delight to deal with, they don't come any better. Fully recommended. Thanks James & enjoy the bass. all the best, Karl.
