1. Stunning. May be worth giving a clue where you are based
2.
Kudos to those that have bookings tonight and honour it even if they know they will probably play to a half empty pub or a full one watching the England match rather than the band. I guess the smart move is to just start early and get it all wrapped up by 11pm? We potentially had a wedding to do but thankfully it got called off so I'll be in front of TV with feet up and beer in hand...
We started 7pm finished 9pm, home 10.30. As if it wasn't enough the match being on, it was a very warm night, so whilst there were a lot of folk there waiting for the game, most of them were sat outside. Very grateful to the 20 or so VERY noisy folk that stayed inside.
3.
If it can't be made to play in tune, surely it's not fit for purpose??
You've not heard me play then
4. Thanks chaps, think I'll pass.
5. Martyn, I know it's of absolutely no use to you, but................ if this was a 4 Stunning bass and a great fella to deal with. GLWTS
6. This was mine from new. Cracking bass and cracking bloke . GLWTS
7.
Trust you to lower the tone
8.
Hello there all, The Bat Bass is indeed mine - I've listed it on here too - eBay removed the listing because Fender complained it was counterfeit. Hopefully I've remedied that now, along with ensuring that he is now comfortable with his sexuality now Bassassin. It's always struck me as a great way to personalise a bass, but appreciate it may not be to everyone's taste . . .
You tell 'em Tim I particularly love the bat sign on the scratch plate. Can you do one for me please, just all photos of Amanda Righetti A change in the Dog and Duck from sunburst!
9.
Apparently very rare! http://www.ebay.com/...=item3f37cb7d83
Ya don't say
10.
Karlfer - nice to hear from you - that EQ pedal has done wonders for Mrs TimAl's loathing of bass through the kitchen ceiling during practice! Commissions are possible - but really I see it as an 'ad hoc' thing - whenever I come across a bass that is suitable AND reasonably priced I'll go to town - I think a Viz one would be rather cool, plus perhaps some brand of strong alcoholic beverage - but early days. Agreed about paper bag, may have to rethink headstock logo & change it to 'Faker' . . .
I was actually thinking discreet would want a Razzle version
11. Tim I think you need to start taking commissions for these jobs Mind, if discreet approaches, you may have to send it in a brown paper bag GLWTS, great job.
12.
If I was to have one it would be a Burgundy Mist P Bass with the biggest chunkiest neck option available with a maple fingerboard & probably a black scratch plate.
Try gold anodised plate with that. Saw one with that spec. POODLES PRIVATES!
13.
Where are you located?
At it say's in his first post, Edinburgh
14. Did this sell bump?
15. A bass of this (legendary ) quality at this price? Am I missing something? Why on earth is it still here? GLWTS, stunning.
16. The irony is Andy, the last no show, the one who's wife said he couldn't have it, mentioned it to his mate in the pub on Sunday night. Now his mate is the new owner . The same new owner that had contemplated the Hot Rod for sale in Glasgow at £1100. The new owner texted me last night and he loves it, so, all's well....................
17. Thanks Tom. Yup, been messed around quite a bit on here of late, and not just with people buying this bass and then bottling out! It happens I guess, but two selling and one buying cancellation in two weeks is frustrating. Annnndddd breathe.......
18.
Rather like that actually. Wonder if they do it left handed?
Fender HMT, Fender Japan from about 1990 to 1993. There were 2 versions, the one I'm considering has a kinda Washburn hockey stick headstock. Rare in right hand, don't even know if they did a leftie.
19. It's not this bass. There was a black one for sale on FEEBay, only 30 mile from me.
20. Wow. What's the nut width please? Weight? Is a hard case included? Will you courier at buyers expense?
21. Thanks for the reply BOD2. None of the bridge moves unfortunately. Having looked at you link (many thanks) my brain is fried, think I'll give the bass a miss Cheers, Karl.
22. Thanks Olly. The 3rd buyer actually turned up so it's gone now. Thanks for all the interest.
23. Help please, anybody know how to get the intonation done with one of these bridges? Thanks in eager anticipation, Karl. 25.
It does bug me, but I'm already meeting the school bike inside the broom cupboard at 4pm...
The two timing bint. At least I'm, er, in before you at 3.30
