1. This is my other bass I don't take 2 basses to gigg's though, one is enough.
2. I didn't realise that Warwick wax was so expensive. I have used Lord Sheratons beeswax balsam (£1.99 from Wilkinsons) but found it made the back of the neck a bit draggy even after a good buff. Now I have started using Briwax original clear beeswax and was really pleased with the results. I first used it on a maple mighty mite (unfinished) neck and was suprised how quick the neck felt after.
3. I'm going to change the SP on my Squierish jazz and will probably get one from here http://www.wdmusic.co.uk/ I bought a Stingray SP off them and it arrived pertty quick.
4. Cheers, I have one of the old SWR Workingmans 15 combo at the mo which isn't over heavy but is awkward to lift/carry. When my Trace Elliott broke down some years ago I was left with a 1x10 extension cab and a Carlsbro Stingray 100w head I can't remember how it sounded but it did the trick.
5. Now that my back has gone (again) I have decided it's time to get a lighter rig. Can anyone tell me how a 2x10 compares to a 1x15 tone wise etc? I am looking to get something around 200w and 20kg or less.
6. I put some of the briwax on tonight (the bass not me) and it is deffo shinyer than the Sheratons stuff which goes dull after about a week. Also when I first stuck the Sheratons balsam on the neck is made it draggy for about a week (worse with sweaty hands). Where as I have used Briwax on the neck of my Warwick and my Jazz (mighty mite) neck and it is well smooth and fast. The Briwax also brought out the colour in the Dolphin body.
7. After reading the thread on ding removal and melting wax I was wondering what Warwick wax was like? I have 2 types of beeswax, Bri-wax which is hard and in a tin and Lord Sheratons pure beeswax balsam which is very soft almost creamy and in a glass jar. What sort of finish does the Warwick wax leave? The Lord Sheratons leaves a soft shine to the wood but you can still see the grain in the wood if that makes sense. I havn't tried the Bri-wax on the Warwick yet but on other wood it has buffed up quite glossy. Any feedback will be great.
8. Well I've bought some now, I won't be fitting them until they are needed but couldn't pass on them at sutch a bargain price.
9. Have you tried an imperial allen key? I had a bridge where the 1.5 key didn't grip too well, I used an imperial key but can't remember what size it was though.
10. I have a semi-hard Stagg case, its rectangle, a bit bigger than a Music Man case but it has a strap on the back which makes it easier to carry over you sholder. Like this http://www.playrecord.net/guitar-accessori...ack.p30726.html
11. WTF I think someone went overboard with the rellicing. "Hmm cant find any sandpaper, no worries I'll just use this axe"
12. Cheers for the replies, I've decided to put the tuner on hold for now. We only do 1 song that requires drop D and I keep my tuner plugged into my amp, so its quite qick to tune down and back up again.

Hey!!

It' better than sh*ttyf***crapw*** I suppose. I think BBC has a rival.
14. I like it, just can't afford it.
15. Anyone tried them or use them? I've been trying different brands of string lately and saw some and thought I might try them.
16. The Aria basses are quite good more so the older Japanese built one's. If a set up and fret dress sorts it out then you should get many more years out of it. Don't be too put off by the prices on ebay, they are generally quite low at present. I've got some rellies in Ledbury, 2 of my cousins live in Lower rd and my Uncle and Aunt live next to the telephone exchange. Before that they managed a farm on the Eastnor estate near the Welly.
17. I know where your comming from, over the years I have learnt to do my own set up's but fret dressing etc requireds the right tool's and someone that knows what they are doing. What bass do you have and where in/near Ledbury are you?
18. No probs, have you thought of doing it yourself? There is plenty of info on here and some other sites.
19. I think off set are a bit quirky, and would rather they were in the center or not at all. I suppose I've got used to center dots or block inlays but dont use them I use the side dots. My Dolphin only has side markers but I do like the dolphin inlays on the pro 1 and the chillies on the Yamaha MA BB.
20. The band I'm in havn't got a name yet nor a website. We are a Blues band from Darlington and have a set of 20 songs. I will post an update when we get on the web.
21. I sent my MM Stingray + hard case for less than £20 that was with it insured for £750. The thing I like about couriers is that they collect from your door, you don't have to lug it to a post office.
