ah, well I did a similar thing where I Simply made a 1 sloop selector and put the synth in the loop, so I could switch it on/off with my foot. It'll come in handy if I ever get rid of the pedal.... it WILL come in handy!.... I'll make it useful! XD

I've been playing 3 years and each time I buy a new effect, and make a new song, I'm basically trying to emulate what a keyboard players does (This is in a 4 piece rock band - songer, guitarist, me and drummer). If we were to get a keyboard player, I think that he wouldn't be [laying much, as we already have all the frequencies and when we all play it sounds really full. I like having to have EITHER synth (me with effects) OR bass (me without effects). XD

ah, yes but that video link is to a half watt amp. The pne here is 22 watt. I don't know ANY amp that could take that. Maybe just whack it infront of the preamp and plug it into the fx loop.

I got my standard jazz brand new from GAK for (including hard case) £769, so I would be getting the better half of the deal if i did swap.. However, it was from my grandad's inheritance, so I'm not sure I'll ever be letting go of it! XD

well, they thin it for some reason, and the thinned string I broke, and I now play even harder on the thickened strings at the end, and they don't snap. Same gauge, but the thinned bit at the bridge made it snap.... i'm sure it did! XD

I use EB (super?) slinkys on my american jazz bass. I usually finger-play from the bridge picjup, but if i play (averagely) hard at the neck pick up, I can get a really nice percussive short sound that just sound really funky after my strings have lost their zing. It's the kind of 'nice' sounding fretbuzz. They start out (for me) With a really LOVELY tone, and whenever I'm about to do recording I always buy a new pair, but for gigs and stuff, it has enough brighteness to cut through the mix for me.
