Congrats - tidy looking bass you got there P -
Ive been quoted £35 inc some new Rotosound short scales for my Les Paul Bass (see Gear Porn... mmm). So thats a pretty good quote, really then?
That's a very good price if they do it properly. A setup at the Bass Gallery is £30 - that's my benchmark

MODERATORS: HEADS UP!!! TOO MANY SELLERS IN TWO MINDS!!
Platypus replied to Apothem's topic in General Discussion
The guy who joins up just 'bag a bargain' is useful to the Basschatter who is trying to sell their bass. same applies to the someone joining to sell a bass. Anyone can post ten '+1' or 'LOL' on a thread..... P -
I've never been to any bass shop in Bristol, however, I did recently buy a new Spector from Bristol Reverb, by phone. I called the shop and initially spoke to a guy called Ben, who gave me details on what was available. I called back 10 minutes later this time speaking to Joe who completed the transaction and said that he would call back in ten minutes to confirm that everything had gone through, he also explained that as it was now 5:30 PM the bass would be sent next day. He called again the following day (Thursday) to confirm that bass was packaged and ready to go and checked that there would be someone home on the Friday to receive it, also explained that they don't like to sent the receipt along with an expensive bass and that it would be sent separately. Bass arrived on Friday in perfect condition and I got a call on Saturday from Joe to confirm that it had arrived safe and well and that I was happy etc. On Monday the receipt arrived in the post. What more can you ask for in terms of communication and customer service ? P

Does the amp hum wherever its placed ? - the hum can be caused by electrical interference such as low voltage lights.
Bristol have sold the USA NS5. bugger!
Gotta come clean - I was that masked man - it's a NS5 XL in Quilted Maple and looks stunning. Apologies Dubs for beating you to it... Came with full strap locks, that must be the difference between the Euro and the NS - a small price to pay me thinks Thanks to TheDontCareBear and Cetera for the heads up via this thread... Will get some pics up soon.... P

Fender USA JAZZ 5 string for sale. Very good jazz tone with excellent B string - currently fitted with DR High Beams There is bit of buckle rash on the back and a very small ding that you can see in the photo. Swapping shifts may work for you, when required. Depends what day of the week your talking about - if you want people to cover a Friday evening for you - you'll have more chance of being struck by lightning !. If on the other hand you’re looking for a Monday - Thursday swap AND you can offer to maybe occasionally cover a Friday evening for them, they'll think you a great guy For people who work shifts Friday evening is King Good luck

In all this scouring or Reverb stock lists, has anyone uncovered a Mesa Walkabout Scout combo ? I ask because Sound Control used to sell them - in fact I have once seen them in Sound Control London for £799 during a sale Cheers P

Hey Phil - my near neighbour ! Thats some cv you have there ! I haven't contacted you through Basschat before, though it was me who bought the 3 EBS pedals and the pedal board from you, when you first signed up(using the phone number you included)
Thanks Guys My concerns answered in less the half-an-hour. I will get you both a beer if I ever meet you. Now I can go and spank my plank & see what this amp can do. Brendan
The MK500 can do a hell of a lot IMO. They were generally a bit ignored I feel, and they do take a little bit of time to get to grips with with settings. In hindsight I don't think I had the cab to do it justice and would loved to have matched it with some on the cabs I subsequently had. The EPI UL310 to name just one P

Yep, I used to own one and yes, it's an always fan P
Hi Folks, A quick question for anyone with an Ashdown MK500 (or probably any 575w Ashdown). Is it normal for the cooling fans to be on all the time? (come on at start-up & stay on) Thanks Brendan
