Have to agree Clarky - I've been looking to buy studio monitors recently and the price they were reaching on eBay was always highter than I though reasonable, I ended up buying new as didn't think the discount was enough on eBay. Bought a GK MB150 combo odd the 'Bay, on Sunday and had to pay more than expected to get it ( that is, i've seen them go for quite a bit less on Basschat in the past) P

What's the new cab your using Al ? P
It sounds fine at bedroom volume but I won't get chance to put some serious welly through it until Saturday. The other lads think it was a monitor issue - I hope so.
I may be wrong, though I don't think there is one. I believe that the Gallery or anyone else selling them, orders them direct from Epifani in the US as required. P
I’ve done a bit of google-ing and I can’t find anywhere that sells Epifani cabs in the UK. I took a look at the list of international dealers on the Epifani websh*te and there’s no one listed as a UK dealer?!?! Where the hell are you guys buying your Epifani cabs from?! (I’m guessing a couple of London shops must stock them?) OR…to save me some hassle, does anyone have a UL310 they would like to sell me or trade for an SVT-410HLF?
Well you got that sorted out quickly - even if you never play a note, it looks great in the corner P

Hiring a bass - anyone know where from ?.
Platypus replied to 6stringbassist's topic in EUB and Double Bass
As Kev posted this in the Double Bass/EUB forum I don't think the 'cheap Fender copy for ebay' is a runner.... P
Buy a cheap Fender copy from Ebay - if it's under £50 you'll probably be able to sell it on for the same money.
-

I know it a bit more however, I think you should be talking to DMZ...... http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=19900&hl=
Hello there, Anyone recommend a good budget 6 string bass? I tried a Hudson not long ago in Guitarguitar & quite liked it. I was originally looking at 5's but after trying the 6, I could put the extra string to good use. I know there's Peavey Grind for sale on here but I'm not looking to buy for a good few months yet & just wanna make a list of recommended basses to try. Is the Ibanez budget ones any good or would it disappoint due to having a 4 string one & kinda expecting the same sound. Cheers

Been looking at The Bass Merchant site and I've got GAS for a Markbass rig.But then I noticed the Zoot cabs. My question is this;I play in a fuction band whose material spans Motown, funk, classic rock and up to date pop.I use a 4x10 at the moment but would like more spread of sound. So would a 2x12 do it,does it have a frequency spike, and has anyone tried a Zoot cab?
Lee, It's a pity you weren't at the London Guitar Show over the weekend, as Zoot had the full range of cabs there and were demo, ing them using a Mark Bass R500 head. The 2 x 15 abd the 210 together sounded really good. They were also doing very good show discounts too.... P

Damn GAS just won't go away - but slightly relieved now

I've bought a bass from CK and it was a good experience. I'ts worth buying/selling with Steve just to get the change to admire his impressive collection of all things bass P
