Parcelforce does not offer any additional insurance on musical instruments and I only found that out by accident a couple of years ago when a Gibbo 335 I shipped to Spain went missing. It was eventually found sitting in a cage in an unused area of a warehouse. Check the 'Fragile' list of this link and remember the list:- Exclusions IMO, those guys at UK Mail should be identified and sacked, if they haven't been already. What a shocking way to treat people's property, people who are, in effect, paying their wages! And I wasn't surprised to see evidence of petty theft taking place with regard to the bottles of fizz. In the industry's defence, though I must say that I never saw anything like that going when I did some agency work for a large UK courier firm back in the '90s. I was often there in the evening when the bulk deliveries came up from Coventry and all the ops on the sorting conveyor treated the items with care. And the full-time couriers all seemed to be concientious. I'll count myself lucky in that I've never had to claim on courier damage. Anyone got any real horror stories?

the reason relationships and bands are a bad idea
Now why would I do a thing like that?
Thing is, that guy really falls hard for women, so I could imagine him going through with something like that! An excellent story, though. You reeled me in there! -
The only impediment to the consummation of this unlikely partnership was Lang's (at the time unstated) status as a practitioner of the Sapphic arts. In discussion, both agreed that the only way forward was for Lovett to become a woman and an appointment was accordingly booked at a Brazilian 'clinic'.
!!! I am speechless...........you havn me on, Skank?? -
Can't think of one band where there was a couple and it ended up either themselves or the band breaking up.
Same here, in my experience. I also experienced a 'partner' who had nothing to do with the band I was in making suggestions and cajoling the female singer into a stance that conflicted withe the original idea of the band. What made matters worse in this instance was that he was the singer's 'bit on the side'. He was a known, feted guitarist up my way and had an ego the size of Jupiter. He worked his magic with the singer and even though he was told to keep his distance the band imploded not long after that, though he/she were not the main reason for this happening. IF I ever got involved in a band again, I would not entertain working with a couple, nascent or otherwise. -
Off topic - Fireblademalc - I'd love to see that Odyssey! I used to work in a music shop in the early eighties and we sold a couple of Odysseys. The ones we had had Bartolini humbuckers and the deluxe model had chequered binding like the early Rick 4001s. I should have bought one at the time but didn't have the cash - same old same old! Cheers Ed
Which shop did you work in?
Very nice. I was rather taken with this Stradi Nature on ebay the other day which is very similar: http://www.ebay.co.u...Q-/111052311883
Yeh, that's quite nice, too, though I don't like the pattern.

Each to their own, guys, but I have an aversion to cruises in any case. I just think this whole thing is naff.

I smell Chris Squire's work in all of this. The man is always looking for a way to earn a Dollar.

That red thing looks like it's seen a heat gun at some point. And that neck ain't a Squier! -
Yes! when i put everything together the frets were way to high so i had to file them down quite a bit, especially at the top frets. Also i bought and installed a TUSQ nut as allparts necks come without nuts. Its faily easy to glue and file, i have a few bone nuts incase i over file
Nuts from aftermarket companies always need, in my experience, taken down.
