1.
Bad decision. Have you never deal with bullies before? Because of its previous announcements, BC has now been identified as a mark, as someone/thing he's succesfully frightened in the past, and now it's on his list of compliant victims who he can exert control over with some vaguely-defined legal threats. And they're *only ever* threats - taking real action costs him too much. Before you know it, you're actually enforcing his nonsense on his behalf, without him having to lift a finger... Resist. Don't be an agent for this man's BS.
I think he'd be quite prepared to have a pop at a small operation like Basschat; less so the Far East manufacturers and their European importers. It's easy to say it'll all come back and bite him on the bum with all the adverse advertising these threats will attract to RIC but I don't think he cares. RIC, to me, is a very Amero-centric operation and I reckon there are enough fanbois and afficionados over there to keep the company ticking along so he's not gonna worry about li'l ole UK. And now he seems to have attempted to reactivate a lapsed patent on the horseshoe-magnet pup and has served a writ without the patent being granted? Where, as someone else said, is it gonna stop?
2. That's bad fkn news. Any idea what happened?
3.
I wonder what Mr Hall is doing about these: http://www.musicstor...erName%3DCareer
He won't do nuthin', as they say over there. The man might be trying to protect his firm's copyright but he's a bully. I'd call him a lot worse if I thought I'd get away with it but given that there's four guests reading this thread and California is just back from lunch I don't want the mods to get another missive from that bawbag!
4.
Not that I would ever advise working a way round something official like a Portable Appliance Test but have a look here.
Some of those sellers are prepared to print initials and pass/next test dates on the labels?? LAbels aren't enough, anyway; they're only a brief visual record that the item has supposedly passed a test. Anyone wanting further clarification will ask for the full certificates and data dumped from the testing unit.
5.
It's a right handed slab bodied Precision played by a left hander. Maybe it's a Fender and it looks like someone's stripped the paint off. Piece of sh*t to be honest. If you play left handed , buy a left handed bass. Aterall , I wouldn't buy a lefty and turn it upside down. Where's the sense in that?
I dunno, but I reckon the late Keith Ferguson (Fab T'birds) rocked an old P-bass the wrong way round.
6. Yeh, I fancy one, too! They do other colours: black, natural and maybe red. You just gotta search. My worry would be if the twin-neck arrived in bits but i think AliBaba uses an ESCROW-type payment service. Let's all buy one!!
7. Dont let it go for that, mate, please. But if u do, someone's getting the bargain of the year!
8. Have a look at this. Seller says original condition. Was this 'Black over 3TSB' something that Fender regularly did back in the '70s? But, like Rick says, why do it over a '50s model.
9. Yep, don't get this colour, at all. Nash does a better relic, IMO.
10. Trade Tang and AliBaba have loads of basses like that, even a lush double-necked fella.
11. 'Sokay, mate. Not in a hurry. Really need a Jazz body with 21-fret rout if you hear of one?
12. Well, Beeds, I did make first offer on the thread but if you got in first then fair enough. See what seller says.
13. Dont sell it!! You'll regret it!
14. '"What is it with men and their excessive hobbies? Golf - EIGHTEEN holes - takes all day, football - involves shouting before, during and after the match etc etc." Some people like to have interests in things that aren't watching Eastenders and posting on mumsnet.' - sock it to 'em, baby! Surprised he didn't get flamed for that!
15. Folded horn cab, eh? Not much in the way of highs, then, though they had a long throw. Bet it sounds monster loud.
16.
he should make it up to her by taking her up the oxo tower.
I've never heard that one before!!
17. I think the Vintage gear is great VFM. I really like that one withe burl maple top, the V100 - what a super bass for the money!
18.
do it
Yes, Discreet, go on - do it!! I'm in the mood for some mischief doen by another's hand!
19.
On Mumsnet ? !! ! Seriously ? Subscribed !
There's a lot of mentalists on that forum from what I've heard. This one I'm gonna follow!
