I reckon it's a good pedal for the right player, but I was let down that it only had one real trick and didn't 'wow' me like the others. Anyway, bought a Darkglass B3K this lunchtime.     I'm pretty sure the X Factor uses the Puff Daddy version from the Godzilla film a few years ago... Different lyrics and title so not sure if it qualifies as Led Zep anymore.

    I had a similar experience there a few months ago. I rang in advance and asked them to bring over a Guild Starfire for me to try - they had one in the shop already but having read some reports of dodgy workmanship I thought it best to try as many as possible. As anticipated, the one in store had various unfortunate defects so I asked for the other one to be brought down. I waited about an hour (trying out other basses so not entirely time wasted). I let the guy know I was still waiting. No problem, he said, and went off to find it. At least another 20 minutes waiting... By then I just thought sod it and left, but not before letting the staff know why and also that I had fully intended to buy the bass, cash in pocket and everything.

    Here's one I know I'll regret later on! My recently acquired Fernandes FAB180 - Alembic, Series I copy, early 80s. Fantastic condition for age, a couple of minor knocks to body edge. Neck pristine. Stunning build quality, through neck. Sounds remarkably like 'the real thing' - stereo output, active filter electronics. Incredibly versatile, endless tones in this thing! Comes with slightly tatty but functional OHSC and original external power supply. Rare as you like - I picked it up for £900 so that is what I'll let it go for - although in my opinion it is worth far more, it really is stunning. . Located in Dartford, collection preferred or can deliver around the M25. Can ship at buyer's cost. TRADES - Spectors, Spectors, Spectors! Euro or Rebop, 4 or 5 string.
