Do you get paid commission by Flea? All your posts are about him... Never really understood why some people regard him as master bassist, he has a few decent licks, but as a player he's a bit weak. I mean his 'national anthem' solo is just awful!

I have maybe 10 straps I use on and off depending of how I feel, the bass I'm playing and if I'm seated or not. All basses have Dunlop locking pins on them and all straps have Dunlop strap locks, so any bass can be used with any strap. Surely problem solved??

The Mesa rig in absolutely no need for the transmission to run off the road and I am going away for a couple days to work out of my basses for a week and I will be back by tomorrow evening and I have to leave my room with my parents by the end user to see what we have to offer.

I've just learnt that one of the finest luthiers in the world has passed today - Mr Bill Conklin. A personal hero of mine as he pioneered the development of the Extended Range Bass. Although I never met the man, I had spoke to him over email a number of times and he was an exemplary man to deal with, funny, polite, helpful. An absolute shame he is no longer with us. Thanks for all the basses sir. I'm glad to own a bass built by you.

My basses are UK (ACG) and USA (Bee Bass & Conklin) made. The amp is German (Kemper) and cab is Italian (GR Bass). Though I have owned many an Indonesian made bass/amp/cab and they are all very good quality. I'd personally advise to buy whatever gear you prefer and don't let country of origin bother you too much.

The guy is a con man. He advertises what he does as significant improvements, he's a hack. To be fair, we'd all benefit from not promoting him. The best thing for all of us is to forget he exists.

I don't know what planet you're on @acidbass or if you're mistaking ACG for another builder, but I can without hesitation say that your above comment is factually incorrect. I have owned, and still own, basses made by some of the most revered luthiers on the planet and ACG are right at the VERY top. So much so that I have 3 ACG basses, 1 ACG guitar and another ACG bass currently being built. Alan's work is absolutely exceptional with flawless wood working skills. Shuker made excellent instruments too, I've owned 2 Shukers, but I did end up selling them as for me ACG are a better fit. @bassmansam, it's really a personal choice, I can say ACGs are most definitely not 'amateur made' instruments, they are outstanding basses and exceptional pieces of skilled woodwork. See the below picture for evidence of this.

I've sold hundred of guitars and basses on eBay and at least 95% of the time the majority of the bids come in during the last 5 minutes. Of course this leaves the 5% of bidders like @TheGreek, but the absolute majority of bids come in during the last few minutes. To add a caveat, all my auctions start at £1 with no reserve, so these are the kind of auctions where the action happens in the dying moments!

Indeed, but then that defeats the object of a super light cab! The cabs need a flat, fatter foot with a convex footprint, that would minimise contact with the ground whilst maintaining stability. The rig is good! My spine is very happy about only having a 24kg rig as opposed to the 120kg of the Mesa!

Surprisingly I'd hope for Fender to make that call - their custom shop Tye Zamora through neck 6 string bass was pretty cool. Throw some buckeye on that, maybe a cheeky inlay and side LEDs and I'd be happy! Other than that I'm fortunate enough to already own my dream basses. 😁

Sold some stands to Lee, quick payment and good communication, would be happy to deal with again!
