    Hello

Reading that OP is like visiting an alternate reality. Thanks in part to this place I now have 6 basses, 2 amps and 2 cabinets. Damn you all for emptying my wallet!
  2. Thought this was going to be thread about me I need to learn: Not everything's about me
  3. I'll be too busy drinking tea. Probably.
  4. What shade of green would you call that?
  5. So the postage comes first? How will you pack if you've already posted?
  6. I have a Mono M80 and a Protec Contego - both great gig bags. The Mono M80 gets the most trips out. - Can't fault it.
  7. My GT86 has a 'stupidly small boot' - my goto rig is a Barefaced Supermidget and a TecAmp Puma900 - significantly more than your £1k budget new but secondhand might work.
  8. The .45 .60 .80 .100 .80 .60 .45 stringing would be more playable....
  9. The catchiest of catchiest tunes - I've only just discovered this lot
  10. Thinking it would be easier to play if it was strung ..45 .60 .80 .100 .80 .60 .45 wouldn't it? I might try it in a 'future project'.
  11. Or perhaps make it into an ambi-dextrous bass that can be flipped - why hasn't Mark Phillips tried this yet? If he strung it EADGDAE it could be done .100 .80 .60 . 45 .60 .80 .100
  12. If you don't want it don't bid on it. If you never wanted it why did you bid on it?
  13. So less scooped with a fatter bottom end apparently? and generally hotter?
  14. Do they go up to 11 too?
  15. How does the (more expensive) Vintage '63 pickup sound in comparison? https://shop.fender.com/en-US/accessories/pickups/pure-vintage-63-precision-bass-pickup/0992241000.html I have 'CustomShop 62' AND 'FenderOriginal' pickups in 2 of my precisions already
  16. I'm 54 Our shows are around 2 hours - often under hot lights - sometimes these days on big stages. If we're not hospitalised we're fit enough
  17. Clearly you've never played an EBMM USA Sterling - 1 1/2" nut
  18. I have used Cakewalk Sonar since release 4 These days it's available for free. https://www.bandlab.com/products/cakewalk
  19. As I remember it it was a fire in a property of which Midnight rented some storage space. It wasn't particularly 'convenient' for us. Cherry Red have the masters now and yes, I believe most of the box set was made from those masters. Glad you enjoyed the album - we do have a new one out since. https://sadloversandgiants.co.uk/product/mission-creep-cd/
  20. Fender CE300 T bucket
  21. I should know this but in 40odd years of bass playing I've only ever changed the strings on 34" basses. When it comes to strings..........are 'medium scale' strings long enough for a 2x2 32" scale or will I need 'long scale' ? Specifically I'm looking at phosphor bronze acoustic bass strings (45-90 preferably)
  22. There's a lot more to the MM experience than just the tone. The neck finish on a USA MM is VERY different from the SUBs and thus the feel is VERY different. I love the oiled neck of my Sterling - I can't play sticky painted or lacquered necks anymore.
  23. Often - many years ago Midnight Music suffered a fire. A similar fate was dealt to most of the Sad Lovers & Giants multitrack recordings - the mixed down masters survived though.
