    If I were downtuning to CGCF i'd definitely use 50-110.. using a 5 string is indeed a pain for this kind of tuning.

    A show ? Kind of. We all meet up and bring our gear (amps and basses) and have a fumble with each others gear and have a good old chinwag. A great opportunity to try basses you don't see in shops !

    Yeah they aren't great to be honest. They have pretty run of the mill bass gear (Squier / Ibanez / Yamaha etc..). I wouldn't go there asking questions - they're mostly guitarists... PMT is your best option in Birmingham.
