1. These are what we have done / do now. ACDC - Back in Black Black Sabbath - Paranoid Iron Maiden - The Trooper Iron Maiden - Wickerman Killswitch Engage - My Curse Metallica - Master of Puppets Ozzy Osbourne - Crazy Train Pantera - Cowboys From Hell Pantera - Cemetary Gates Trivium - Entrance of the Conflagration
2. Argh GAS ! That's a silly price.
3. WHAT ?! It's a fluffing pickguard ! Anyone willing to pay that much just to have an 'authentic' instrument has more money than sense.
4. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/bass-guitar-COLLECTI...1QQcmdZViewItem I bet he's inundated with emails for this one.
5. The neck material has no bearing on making the bass easier to slap on. It does however have a bearing over how easy it is to set a low useable action, which makes it easier to slap on .
6. Lovely pair, I like the good vs evil theme too .

10. You are quite right, it would be troublesome to get pickups to fit without extra routing/mess holes, but.. Why replace the pickups anyway !? the standard BB pickups are more than capable and I never felt the need to replace them in my BB614. If you want to spend as little as possible then buy a bass than doesn't require upgrading.
11. My Electric Blue hasn't let me down yet, i'm only selling it to get an ABM.
12. Around £180 I'd say for the passive model.
13.
Owned and played Ashdown happily for a number of years. Never had any reliability issues and really like the sound too. All subjective I guess, but if it was as bad as everyone says it is, I'd argue that you wouldn't see it on as many concert stages around the world as you do.
That pretty much sums it up I think. Perhaps a marmite brand ?
14.
Will keep that in mind as the "kids" keep nagging me to let "Uncle Matt" to come over when "Daddy" is away. lol T
Well if they start calling me Daddy then you DO have to worry .
15. Yes it is.. Other cheap 5 strings to consider: Yamaha BB415 / BB615. Ibanez SRX Series (www.ibanez.com)
16. I had the pleasure last week of checking all of Tony's basses out. They are all stunning and i've offered to look after them for him when he goes on holiday .
17. They're not bad, what are you looking for in a bass ? We may be able to give some other options to you.
18. I'll go with Beedster, I reckon he's dodgy .
19. I think any bass with the right setup and technique is good enough to slap on. *Most* players choose 4 strings to slap on.
20. Looks a bit dodgy to me - the machineheads are way too close to the edge of the headstock:
21. You're joking right ? Here's a real one - work it out. http://www.flying-v.ch/81vbass/fb81bass.html

23. An unnamed shop near me are trying to sell a Musicman Stingray copy (with headstock decal etc) for £400. They are aware it is fake as well...
24. WTF indeed ! He just did a slide and thinks he can play a different style of music ?!
