1.
Got a store front by anychance or are you purely mail only?
When I asked he said there was no store - so don't feel so bad you missed it .
2. Love these basses - ballpark price ?
3. You better hope Lorne likes it .
4. I have no idea why you can't shift these..
5. It won't be in the shops for at least a week I reckon.
6. I'll pick one up for you ped.. you'll have to wait a couple of weeks till I see you though.
7.
On the mention of Brum shops, apparently Sound Control stock Ashdowns' Lodestone basses, someone please go have a wander in and report back for the good of the community.
Week after next I shall be in there .
8. A show ? Kind of. We all meet up and bring our gear (amps and basses) and have a fumble with each others gear and have a good old chinwag. A great opportunity to try basses you don't see in shops !
9. Yeah they aren't great to be honest. They have pretty run of the mill bass gear (Squier / Ibanez / Yamaha etc..). I wouldn't go there asking questions - they're mostly guitarists... PMT is your best option in Birmingham.
10. I'm hoping to get a MAG115 to go with my MAG210 too (getting ABM300 next week). Need to see how the 210 copes alone really...
11. Found some pics and yes - it was a bass clarinet.
12. Was it not a baritone sax ? I don't really know anything about wind/brass instruments..
13. I only watched it till about 9. I loved it - but did get a little tired towards the end.. Whilst amazing music - the extremely long jams in songs did start to bore me, with it not really sounding like the song they were playing at the start. Maybe it's just me but I expect a song to be recognisable during any part of it... I was impressed with Marcus's sax playing though.. wow those things go low.
14. Woo.. nice erm.. crowd..
15. These are what we have done / do now. ACDC - Back in Black Black Sabbath - Paranoid Iron Maiden - The Trooper Iron Maiden - Wickerman Killswitch Engage - My Curse Metallica - Master of Puppets Ozzy Osbourne - Crazy Train Pantera - Cowboys From Hell Pantera - Cemetary Gates Trivium - Entrance of the Conflagration
16. Argh GAS ! That's a silly price.
17. WHAT ?! It's a fluffing pickguard ! Anyone willing to pay that much just to have an 'authentic' instrument has more money than sense.
18. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/bass-guitar-COLLECTI...1QQcmdZViewItem I bet he's inundated with emails for this one.
19. The neck material has no bearing on making the bass easier to slap on. It does however have a bearing over how easy it is to set a low useable action, which makes it easier to slap on .
20. Lovely pair, I like the good vs evil theme too .
21. *bump* one of these sold for £149 on eBay last week..
22. You are quite right, it would be troublesome to get pickups to fit without extra routing/mess holes, but.. Why replace the pickups anyway !? the standard BB pickups are more than capable and I never felt the need to replace them in my BB614. If you want to spend as little as possible then buy a bass than doesn't require upgrading.
23. My Electric Blue hasn't let me down yet, i'm only selling it to get an ABM.
24. Around £180 I'd say for the passive model.
