I had a problem with a scratchy pot and without me asking them to they sent a replacement (and it was out of warranty).

Have you tried emailing Ashdown via their website ? They always respond helpfully.

I'll be due for an upgrade from my G1 in September. I think i'd need to see if close up rather than default web shots. It could look awesome or really tacky..

Sunburst with a white pickguard always looks grim. I'd like to see that same bass with black or tort and not in sunlight.

I think it looks funky. Fair play to EBMM for expanding their range, I think they're bored of just creating a new LTD ED colour every year.

I think they're great. They fit in with nearly every genre and no-one will roll their eyes when they see one. But personally I couldn't use it as my only bass, I love bridge pickups far too much.

It happens a lot i'm afraid - people feel that they can freely criticise pros on the internet with little reasoning other than apparent envy of their abilities. It's happened with nearly every one that gets mentioned and it's quite tedious. FWIW I was at Bass Day 2008 and saw Hadrien, amazing talent but his music was really not something I could dig.

But I still think it takes away rights from the seller if we are trying to achieve a flat and fair playing field.[/quote] In the nicest possible way - we are providing this forum for free and it's probably the best place there is for selling it to someone honest that will not cause you problems, I think it's a bit grumpy to complain when a simple rule is introduced for the general benefit of the community. It's a topic that's been mentioned for months and months, has been reviewed and general consensus taken into account.

I'm sure it'll be fantastic quality, but what the world does not need is more Jazz copies. It's a saturated market and no-one has to scratch around finding a high quality Jazz bass. I'd be more interested to see them coming out with something SOUNDING like a Jazz but with a less carbon copy design.

It depends a lot which model you had in mind - i've reviewed and owned a couple so might be able to shed some light on them.
